Any pet lovers ?

Don't know.hoe.i missed this..? Is it one where a person could "rescue" //adopt an animal, dog....?

If so, how.might I see what is in shelter, or up for adoption
I should say....? LMK thanks in advance.

We take it animals like a normal animal shelter would but we also rescue mis treated animals or people can call us who see stray animals and we try to pick them up. It is very rewarding and we love it. We ended up keeping more in our home than we thought but I guess thats what happens!

Im a govt contractor since leaving the service and have done just about every school/training the military can throw at ya and I cant tell you how badass the dogs are. Its amazing what they can do and I know for a fact they have saved hundreds maybe thousands of lives in the last decade of fighting alone. I cant have one now since I travel on a whim but cant wait to stabilize and be able to get one. Ill bring one back with me.

That’s incredible! I Just began volunteering at a cat rescue in MA . I have no partner but that sounds so cool ! I envy you

Here’s my tiny 7 pound sweetheart post surgery- though she won’t eat the freakin pills even in edible pockets so I empty out SARM bottle crushed meds with water and dropper down throat! If anyone has better idea please lol they took out infected uterus gave her shots for pocket change when other place was going to charge more to kill her , pissed me off .

She’s picky only eats dry food or fresh Chinese chicken wings - in fact IAMs and blue buffalo only two brands she will eat. Only good thing is she trusts me never scratches or growls even though I know she hates lol

Dragon - I’m thinking of how much I pay for my cat food for 7 pounds of cat lol ! What brand of food you get for your dogs? Do all you guys agree that quality matters ? I’m assuming since all of us here take serious what we eat etc so our pets like family get the best ? Some of my cronies make fun that I buy like blue buffalo or IAMs etc .

Rotts are a special breed. I got mine at 8 weeks and he was my co pilot he was with me all the time. I was fortunate that he never had any major health issues. When he was like 11 he started having occasional seizures. At 12 he was getting arthritis. I moved up to Michigans UP in july 2013 and my wife didn't move up till December but she came to visit for labor day and brought the dogs up. When the rott got out of the car it was sad, he was a shadow of his former self. Hard time walking then one day we went to Lake Superior and the minute he got out of the car he was like a young dog he actually took off to the water. It was priceless. That march his front shoulder started to grow a mass which turned out to be bone cancer. Had to out him down :-( still brings tears to my eyes. He was special my mom was still alive when I got him she loved his goofy ass.

Did I mention too this 24 hour animal hospital was going to charge me over 3000$ to spay cat or $750 to kill her I’m still upset - but the vet place I found was awesome they were kind caring did the spay on my seriously infected ( uterine ) cat and gave all booster shots and medication under $500 thank god . If I were filthy rich money wouldn’t matter but I myself have ton medical issues but my cat comes first, I have no family of my own so Xena the warrior princess is my all.

I feel ya, balled so bad when I put my buddy down.... cried so bad it hurt. I understand on the family thing too mine is all gone besides a brother and sister but I rarely talk to them.haven't talked to my dad in ten years. My wife and two dogs are everything to me. Haven't seen my bro in 9 years and sister in over 4. Animals are better than people in my eyes. Animals don't talk shit or stab ya in the back, don't bang your chick unless she's some kind of freak. And unconditional love.

I'm definitely the worlds biggest sucker when it comes to animals.

Bump x 10000! I grew up as child on a farm with horses pigs cows 110 cats and 27 dogs lol I love animals and nothing compares to that loyalty when you bond with dog cat etc! In another life I should have become a vet or marlon Perkins on wild kingdom ! Why I never followed my heart ? Don’t know - training spent all time and money now live in a studio apt with cat . My cat is 8 I forget we age but she shits when I do , eats when I do hangs when I shave lol I can’t imagine it any other way

I'm envious of your past life (the Farming ) I'd love it.

I'm trying to become a "Dirt" farmer, Flowers & produce & just so.e chicken's for eggs, and "Maybe " meat chickens.

Have two vacant parcels of land, one 3 acres, will.be my mainstay @ the Cut Flowers production, & some of the produce, & storage food like winter squash, potatoes , sweet potatoes etc. Salad production when climate is right, and some berries, I'll be a happy camper.

Our dog's has been declining over the past few years. He is a 14y/o male Dachshund and that breed has been know to have back problems. Well about one year ago he woke up one morning with his hind quarters paralyzed. We took him to a specialist and found out he had a ruptured disk....6Gs later he began walking on his own about a month post surgery. Then he ended up going blind and now we have to carry him everywhere. Then recently he developed cholitis(which is a desease that effects his bowels)....which put him on a prescription food that is ordered through out vet.

But ya know....when I adopted my little man my wife and I took on all that resposibility and we care for him like the day we brought him home....he's our kid.
