He turned 44 not long ago. Me and him are around 6 months apart. Well I am 76 he is.... That is close enough. 6 months older. Don't even remember my own age but 76 was born

Being the son of a doctor men who have heart attacks in their 40’s sadly don’t usually survive. (Usually an underlying bigger issue). You can have a major one in your fifties and survive messed up how the body works. Not a joke but always tell my wife I’ll be less worried in 8 years

He had a rare disease that caused his rbc to rapidly increase. He had to have phlebotomy every 3 weeks to get it down. Disease is associated with hepatitis c. But very rare the doctors said. They knew his heart was under stress. But on Oct 31st he was driving. Stopped at a store. And something happened. Witnesses say there were people trying to get him out of his truck.
He seemed confused, refused to open door and speed off a few yards into a tree. Ruled as accident from natural causes. Chest trauma and head but unsure if heart or stroke. I tell myself heart attack. Or most of the time I do.

Crazy I had hep c, and I have order to do phlebotomy as needed. Used to go every 3 weeks min sometimes 5, did that for years. Now it's not as often.
They told me I had a slew of things....

Yes I had hep c to. Thankfully cured now. We never know when it will be our time. And the older I get the more I'm scared about health issues.

Where I work is a sad place for most. And I've come to realize how short and fragile life is. It's made me scared to think about it. Anything from a fall in the bathroom to hidden health problems to suicide. I see it daily. From the elderly to newborns. And I feel for the families. We all face it together. It's the one promise we all share. It's sad when we lose someone to soon.
But time does make all things better. The grieving process is important for this. We hurt, we blame, we grieve, then we heal. And Mountain Mans family and friends will heal. But first they have to grieve. And that's the hardest part.
