Hip replacement surgery

Glad to hear you're doing alright big man.

Makes me feel like a giant pussy complaining about my torn brachialas lol. I bet your arms are bigger though...so ;)

Hey Ketsugo it's Bio from PM & AnaSci. I'm really glad to hear that you're doing so well! I know what it's like to recover from serious surgeries. Wish you well on a strong recovery!! As you know, the weights will always be there.

Yup week later no pain zero , no walker no Cain doing body weight exercises for my hip . Be while before I hit gym but I’m astonished how quick I’ve recovered more like I need restrictions cuz I’m like Superman. Crazy I can say my hip weak and stiff since surgery but no pain not for a moment . I was bearing weight on operating side since day 1

Fantastic my man. Home already....that didn't take long. London Broil???....maybe when going out for dinner I need to hit up my local hospital. Urine bottle is better than a Foley brotha. Glad your doin' well. Keep up posted.

Lmfao

I had my right one replaced June 26,2017.I have a whole new 10 on my 1-10 pain scale now since that surgery The first 2 weeks after it we're hell on Earth!!!! After that it got easier.I'm just now really lifting with my legs again and so far it's going ok.I stay away from squats and movements like that for now.I have good days and bad days with it.Most days I don't feel it at all but others it feels like my leg is being pulled off or I get a stabbing pain in my growing!!! Sitting on hard surfaces sucks too.

Crazy zero pain since moment out of surgery and that’s no narcotic pain medication. In hospital injection of Tylenol home I got 800mg Motrin . Now mine stretched my gluteus minumus apart no cutting of muscle or tendon . How did you have yours? Anterior , posterior etc

Great to hear your recovery is going well. You sure must have had a darn good surgeon.

Won’t be long before you bust out some heavy squats and deads!

Funny some report torture etc .PT was a joke I’d have to double reps move pin to feel like I did something. Like also these rubber therapy bands gave me the so called strongest I snapped them first rep so used weights and bicycles instead lol just I lived 10 years with pain now it’s just nothing I wait for a twitch . I think most of us here who work out like no matter why we do PT our body is used to weight . So need surgery and PT geared to bodybuilding powerlifting. Even before surgery I prepared myself by doing leg presses and elliptical machine hour day wearing 18 pound ankle weights. Also my procedure did not cut muscle they separate and stretched it but no cuttin like used too

Well I’m waiting to get over pneumonia then off to have a giant titanium joint jammed into top of my femur. Age 53 had spine and elbow replacement but this seems worse considering I’m older but few people I know doing ok that are in 70s , though I will be back training . Not sure how long anyone have hip stories please post I’ll post my day to day after 2/26 right now pneumonia 2 weeks need to have my system checked for operation.

My old boss had both of his done at the same time, did titanium. He was determined to walk literally that day, which he did. He said it wasnt that bad, but hes also pretty nuts. Hopefully you have the same recovery, and i wish you the best!

I've always read that PT was a joke. Glad to here everything went well Kets.

Pt is good for the 1st day, steal the exercises and do it at home. That shit is insanely expensive. The wife fell and dislocated elbow and broke the radial hesd on her arm at 7 months pregnant, and they wanted $200 a session at 3x a week. Fuckin brutal.

Fuck that. Indeed the best way is to have her do the exercises at home or at a gym herself. I rolled my right knee 3 years ago and messed it up. Did my own rehab over a year and it regained full functionality and no pain by then.

Hope your wife regained full motion and function of her arm by now.

Was doing great, then the baby came. From holding the little guy its not gotten better, but she works at it. Orthopedic and pt said its hands down one of the worst to come back from due to it stiffening up so quickly. It will be ok, thanks for the well wishes

Imagine my door light out I tripped in dark fell 7 steps on my hip concrete and somehow didn’t injure my surgery infact I now feel like I never had surgery totally normal post 6 weeks crazy

Yup I decided o can do everything at home no need pay for easy whimsy exercise. I’m actually back gym I don’t do full squats yet but incorporating PT
