Best concert you have seen...

My earliest ones were my fave:

Molly Hatchet / Kansas - 1980/81 (Boston Garden)
Maiden (Killers tour w/ Di'Anno) & Priest (Point of Entry) 1981 (or so) Orpheum Theatre (7th row) in Boston
Hatchet & Outlaws 1983 (return of Danny Joe Brown) - Kingston NH Fairgrounds
Maiden & Priest - Number of the Beast and Screaming for Vengeance tour

etc...
Rot -you must be a southern man! all the Hatchet and Outlaw shows, Not Many know DJB left and came back was the Voice of Hatchet! Native Jville fella myself, grew up sneaking into bars to see those guys.

Favorite band of all time, DJB is my favorite front man, was lucky to have met him...

Bad Religion and Rise Against put on one hell of a show, this was when Rise first came onto the scene..
AFI killed it during their pre Sing the Sorrow..
All that Remains killed it at warp tour 2005..
Millencolin and Offspring 1997 or 1998 was insane..

Slash and Myles Kennedy at stubs amphitheatre in Austin, tx circa 2012 ish. Holy balls it was awesome. Most of the set list was GNR stuff and Myles made it his bitch. He sounds better singing GNR shit than Axl does... at least nowadays.

I haven’t been to many but November 8th 2002 I went to see TooL. It was amazing

Rise against more then just music a complete show. I was rolling balls so my judgement may have been clouded lol...

Haven't been to many concerts, but I seen Hank Jr & Charlie Daniels when they were on tour close to 20 years ago & they were awesome!!!

To many to mention.. attended 4 Rock on The Ranges and several Louder Than Life festivals. Van Halen at least 10 times.

In order:
1. Page, Plant, John Paul Jones (don't recall drummer)
2. Guns N' Roses (close behind #1)
3. Red Hot Chili Peppers (close behind #2)
4. Springsteen (2 shows were beyond great, 1 was just.. eh...can't blame the guy...he does more at age 65+ than most of us do in our 20s-40s).
5. Neil Young
6. Helmet
Seen hundreds more, including the Stones, Dylan, etc. etc....but those top 6 really stood out for me.

I seen GnR in 88 0r 89 appetite tour, wow what a let down. They just hadn't made the money yet and production was terrible to say the least especially when they were opening for the Crue who had the best of production. Glad I seen them still as I probably want pay the money when they come around if they do.

I can name a dozen groups I seen that perform great live but one that comes to mind that people probably wouldn't know or even guess was Foreigner. They were awesome in concert. I would recommend seeing them and most people at least most my age would know every song.

Thanks
TMM

I really liked NOFX live. Granted I was slamming beer and white stuff but it was a blast. More energy than any other punk show I've been to

I've heard that about GnR from several people. Sounds kind of like a hit or miss with them, when it comes to seeing them live. Appetite for Destruction was far better than anything else they came out with, imo.
