....just wondering what has been the best show you have ever attended. For me I would have to choose AC/DC at far as performance goes but for a complete show with pyrotechnics and light show would have to be RUSH.

Jethro Tull in 1977

Either Kid Rock at Cobo /Joe Louis..? Forgot .

Or Avenged 7 X at DTE

I love death metal, lately it was church burn, and skinless in New York. Death fests are the biggest concerts out there, and the France death fest is absolutely insane!!!!!!!!!!!

Your right brother AC/DC is awesome!! But here lately Diary of a mad man in,a small venue.

Ozzfest 1999 was pretty sick

I was at OZZFEST but not sue year ( to lazy to google EDIT : it was 2001 as all those bands were there and I forgot about SLIPKNOT somehow..they were def my fav over MANSON and disturbed ...) It was supposed to be BLACK SABBATHS last year OR last shows but I think they said that every year lol (maybe last year for original black sabbath with Tony Iommi and everyone??IDK) and went to MASS to see it.. MAryln Manson was there , Disturbed ,Linkin Park, all I can remember and small stage Drowning Pool before singer died , Hatebreed etc..
Lots of cool fights.. Only thing I didnt like was when a girl would be on her bf shoulders or just walking everyone would circle her and yell" Tits ,Tits,Tits ,Tits,!!!!" Till she whipped em out...Lot of girls loved the attention but I saw a few I could tell were only doing it because they were afraid. The place was INSANE. In fact one of the best fights was a super jacked dude (to me anyway being like 19 maybe idk) and another kinda bigger dude was yelling at jacked guys girl to show her tits...Well He got pretty well fks up but security came out of nowhere. The dudes were throwin some heavy punches. I drank to much and had 3 hr drive and I had sobered up but I could NOT stay awake...I plled into a park for truck trailers and hid behind some bigger ones and luckily got sleep without being arrested. After that my friends and I got into Hardcore and we went to a show in NY where I got ounched in the face broken nose and later on with a throbbing headache A big ass 250lb red headed mfer jumped in the air and thrwe a spin kick while I was on the OUTSIDE of the pit circle and nailed me with a fking head kick...I shook it off trying to act tough but I was hurting...Keep in mind I had just started lifting and prob weighed 150lbs if that(started at 19 weighing 135 and up near 100lbs lol)

Damn that’s a tough one. Went to a shit load of them back in the day. Can’t really think of one that was the best. Ozzy with Metallica opening up for him was good. Iron Maiden put on some pretty good shows too.
Had some fun at a small venue in Cincinnati numerous times seeing bands like Slayer, Motörhead and suicidal tendencies. Stage diving, crowd surfing and slam dancing. All the fun shit lol. Damn, that was almost 30 years ago

2 come to mind for me way back in the 80's.. 1st was Def Leppard and the 2nd was AC/DC, both tore the place down from start to finish.. Never forgot those babies.

My most memorable was Kid Rock on his last album before he blew up, The Polyfuze Method. At ST. Andrews in Detroit. At the beginning of the show he took 5 hits of acid, he held it up and said I’m gonna be trippin during my show tonight and here’s 5 hits then he tossed em in his mouth, I’m being 100% honest. He also had a 5’th of Jack. The last song he did before he started getting really fuc*ed up was three sheets to the wind. Then at the end of the show he was holding himself up with his mike stand. He was slurring and mumbling it was funny as hell.

Tom Petty at Pine Knob/DTE was good, Pink Floyd put on a excellent show also.
Motley Crue also killed it!!!

That must have been greatwoods or tweeter center whatever it’s calked now, the outdoor venue. Great place to see a show

X2...Def Leppard at the Toledo Sports Arena in 83 and AC/DC in Detroit at Joe Lewis Arena for the "For Those about to Rock" tour. Just saw Journey / Def Leppard together this summer in Cincy. Arena Rock is a lost art.

Perhaps ..It in Mansfield MAss so whatevr is there.. I didnt like Manson much back then but after the show I did...Not because of his freaky stage show but the heavy ass music LIVE just blows you away.. Slipknot killed it as well as Disturbed and of course Sabbath just seeing Ozzy on syage was cool..The small stage had some bad ass bands to ... I was really upset I missed the year with Pantera my bro went to and I always thought I'd see them eventually but the break up and then the murder of course ruined that.. Still wanna go see DOWN if they tour again...

My earliest ones were my fave:

Molly Hatchet / Kansas - 1980/81 (Boston Garden)
Maiden (Killers tour w/ Di'Anno) & Priest (Point of Entry) 1981 (or so) Orpheum Theatre (7th row) in Boston
Hatchet & Outlaws 1983 (return of Danny Joe Brown) - Kingston NH Fairgrounds
Maiden & Priest - Number of the Beast and Screaming for Vengeance tour

etc...

x3 Fellas- being an 80s Rock Junkie, Last of guitars and decent vocal era, well some in the 90s. Def Leppard has never disappointed, I've seen them in the 80s with AC/DC For Those About to Rock and it was a kick ass show, High School, My wife and myself took my daughter to see Def Leppard for her first concert in 2000 I think. Their best performance was Daytona Beach in around 2007 I think, small venue and my wife got pretty much her dream show front row seats great fucking show, We are taking a 5 hour road trip in August to see them again!. Now if you like Country with a kick Travis Tritt with just him and the Axe is one hell of a Vocal performance, Then as others have mentioned Kid Rock is a great all around show, I could go on and on Whitesnake, Deep Purple with the original line up on Perfect Strangers Tour ( John Lord was amazing on Keys and laser show for the time was phenomenal., ZZ Top and Ted Nugent fuck I can go on and on, lol! Going to see KID ROCK, Jason Aldean and Skynyrd Sept. 02!!

That must of been great!

Yeah it DEFINITELY was a great concert, I can't remember who the singer was but I do remember him sounding just like Jim Morrison. When they sang their final song of the night people jumped up on stage and the bouncers and band let them. I'm a huge Doors fan so it's a concert I won't ever forget. I've also seen Deep Purple with Foghat, Iron Maiden with Judas Priest. Ozzy with Motley Crue, Lenny Kravitz.
