What mainstream Body-building myths should be debunked once and for all?

“Bodybuilders are dumb” maybe the most absurd thing I’ve ever heard. There are dumb people even among so called normal. But no one ever thought that bodybuilders have great knowledge in diet, anatomy, pharma, etc. And the best thing is athletes achieved great results in something that they love and have passion for. I can’t imagine such people as dumb.

It depends on the "body builder". Anyone can be dumb. Not all bodybuilders are dumb, but I'm sure some are. Just like any other segment of the population. Now if they said "All bodybuilders are dumb" that would be incorrect.

the small penis thing is fkn ridiculous made up by beta male jealous types...But its bad... Anotomy "Prof" even stated this Not word for word but showed a pic of pro bbers and said this guy will have a shriveled penis and no sex drive while points to female bber on same slide she will have super high sex drive and they should def not date each other... I couldn't believe someone could be teaching at college level in Biology/anatomy and be that fkn dumb... But then I took a liberal phil class and realized the rabbit hole was deeper than I could ever have known..

I hear this way to often, but there's actual some real science behind that.. Trenbolone can effect the cognitive thought process in some people by way of the neuro activity between chemical messengers within the brain, possibly causing a psychological disturbance. This is most common for those that may possess a genetic predisposition or history of some sort of imbalance..Even for those that do NOT have a history, trenbolone can express a time delay within the chemical synapses, impairing judgment and clarity. This is where the stigma may have derived with the name "meat head".. I know for myself tren effects my thought process immensely, almost like being in fog and a simple tasks can prove rather frustrating, even a simple conversation can feel off and not on point.

What?. That's not a myth. It's fact. You can't continually lift the same weight and expect to get stronger.

He did not say the same weight continuously he's making a reference in regards to heavy volume training... You don't need to go Gonzo Bonzo with the heavy weights to build mass... Take a good look around at some of the people doing movements in your gym the vast majority do not know how to do a controlled rep, if people were truly employing controlled reps with mind muscle connection at the same time increasing the intensity, you can add slabs of lean mass.. what do you think a lot of these pros are doing?? Rep range from 10 to 15 is what he's making a reference to... Increase the intensity and control your lifts and I guarantee your workout would be entirely different..

They built the majority of their mass with heavy weight. Rep range from 10-15 is cardio. I don't care what "pros" do. I'm not a pro and just because they do it doesn't make it right and doesn't mean if you do what they do you'll be as big and as strong as them. Volume doesn't build mass, lifting progressively heavier weight does. I doubt any of these "pros" concentrate on building much mass. They are just trying to keep what they have by taking a crap ton of AAS and GH and lifting weights. Then again I'm not a pro and could care less about bodybuilding. However saying because "the pros" do something a certain way is the correct way to do it and because they do that that you will get the same results as them is just dumb. I'm not calling you dumb or anyone else. I just think that's a stupid way to think. It's like saying wearing the same basketball sneakers as a pro basketball player will make you a pro player.

Sorry I just disagree with a lot of guys on training and maybe I think a lot differently than most guys in regards to certain things. Don't mean to offend anyone, it's just my mentality is different.

And a very fine example would be Ahhnold...!

Came here (via Joe Weider of course ) speaking little or no English, succeeded "inmensly" in Bodybuilding, and all other aspect of his life prevailed as a result.

He himself has attributed bbing to a of his eandevor's, Acting, Politics, you know...! Married a Kennedy.

Still a very prominent figure, and supporter of our (my) sport

A I can say is, I'm glad to be back at it, not looking to marry any Kennedy's, nor do Big screen, but it carries over in "all" that I do...!..

Good thread going on here..!

You're not offending anyone, in fact you are entitled to do what you wish and have your own outlook, that's the beauty of this lifestyle..This isn't a one size fits all way of life.. Training, diets, and lifestyle will vary from one to the next. Do what works for YOU.
I was just saying that the poster was referring to the "stamped in stone" theory that only heavy weight builds mass. There's so many theories that contradict one an other at the same time both sides can equally support there own theories. The reason why people including myself will make a reference quoting a pro is because we're able to identify easier, its merely an example.

Here's one:

Many wanna be pro bodybuilders DON'T do G4P.

Here's one though - "The only reason you lift is that you're insecure".
- Nope, how about I actually enjoy the fuck out of it. Almost 40 years of doing something means LOVE to me. It's not just a passing hobby.

Here's one gentleman, let's give a bump to this topic It's an oldie buddy goody...
