Been a zero cal monster fan for a while. After seeing what Thudgens96 went through made me quit. Been finding all kinds of info like this regretting the last year or so, even if this not a 100% accurate enough to make u think:

Did you know...

😳For every 20 ounce Monster you drink, it takes 6.3 gallons of water to flush it out of your kidneys. The average person drinks 6.3 gallons of water in 23 days.

😳For every 20 ounces of SF Red Bull that you drink, it takes nearly a gallon of water to flush it out of your kidneys. The average person drinks a gallon of water in 2 days. (Many people take a week to consume that amount of water).

ā˜ ļøEnergy drinks hyperstimulate your adrenal glands to increase hydrocortisone and adrenalin production, and then the GABA amino acid comes in to suppress the hyperstimulation so you don’t feel jittery.

All this extra work for your adrenal glands can lead to adrenal fatigue or crash. The extra hydrocortisone your adrenal glands are producing makes you resistant to insulin.

Throw in all those artificial sweeteners that energy drinks contain, and your pancreas will be working overtime. This can lead to weight gain that shows up specifically in the abdomen. All of this hyperstimulation and production can cause metabolic syndrome, the initial symptoms of which include abdominal obesity, hypertension, diabetes, and high cholesterol. As metabolic syndrome progresses, it leads to heart disease, stroke, kidney failure, and nerve damage.

What about the bang drinks that everyone at the gym is drinking? I would think they fall into the same category

I never really liked them but I used to drink a lot of pre-workouts, which are close to the same thing.

Great article and I too learned from what he went through. Im done with all of that artificial bullshit. As a matter of fact, since I have no desire to compete I am going to stick to only test and 1-test for my runs from now on. I see no need at this point to add orals, this that and the other. Two compounds I can easily watch. My pre's and every stim I have went out to the garbage. Im hurtin for sure and am fighting staying awake by midafternoon. Shows how addictive these things are.

Still nothing wrong with a good strong cup of JOE..!

Been drinking coffee, I'd say every single day since 8-9 years old, and I'm 53.

Now , I'll have an espresso from the Nespresso when I wait for the reg coffee to finish.

I'll admit it, I'm a coffeHolic..!

Man, my wife stays on me. I'm addicted to zero calorie white monsters. I'm trying to lay off. Just told her to bring one home from work. She said no. Lol

As I finished, she walked in with 2! And two dozen farm fresh eggs. Lol
Soooooo, I'll try again after these.

I tried the Bang drinks sold at my gym as well and they are not bad but wouldn't drink them every day. Hope thudgens96 will make a good recovery as he's a great dude here.

I drink a regular monster usually everyday. I tried coffee but can't stand it. Gotta figure out a flavor or the right combination of sugar and sweetener.

I haven’t been drinking much coffee, and no energy drinks lately. I was drinking them daily. I found a product called Gamersupps. It’s a ā€œpre-ā€œ type supplement for pro gamers and people who just play video games a lot. It’s caffeine from green coffee bean, and nootropics. No crash, organic, keto, clean energy (more of just feeling awake and alert) and the focus is great. I love the shit. Green apple is the tits. Maybe this is a good option health wise...maybe not?
