Anyone getting emails from new member(s) (like as in joined last couple days) saying they saw we us DLine and what do we think about it? Anyone else think that sounds a little strange?

I haven't gotten any emails like that. If you know what member it is maybe should go to D. Or are you getting PM's from such member?

Ill send the members name over to D. I find it HIGHLY suspicious that a member is new today (I think) and is sending msgs saying things like this. I am cautious but, this sounds extremely suspicious to me as in direct evidence type crap.

Good call. We don't need suspicious people snooping around fishing for info as might be LE of all people. If anyone gets strange PM's or emails that seem to be fishing for info report it to D, for our protection.

I'm always suspicious. In fact sometimes I post that and things related and well....Still suspicious of a lot but I keep it to myself now.

May be time to really pull in the reigns on drops and the like. Tighten things up. Like you need 300 posts before we even vet u in for other type things or such or be vetted by current senior member. Who knows. Dont like fishing emails. They scare the shit outta me

What about asking for people see pictures of their faces to you email account?. That's not suspicious is it?....Of course I'm being a wise ass, but most of us saw that thread.

What about in "The D Line" thread with every other newb asking "How do I buy da drugz?". There should be some kind of balance between being secure and being nice. I think security is more important than being nice to new members and not hurting their precious feelings. I'll continue to hold back and be nice though. Just saying their has to be a point where things come to a head....You can't just trust every Tom, Dick and Harry that comes to you over the interwebz asking to buy drugz.

I like this idea, 300 is a bit much, but 50 to 100 would be do-able.
With all the busts going on out there, safety is #1...

The mods can do ip checks on new members and investigate whichever ones they want to. It really only matters if you do business with a person.keep a small circle and you'll be fine.

Its dreds board and I think hes doing an awesome job of running it. Like he posted himsel-its his board his rules if you don't like it then leave. It's every man's responsibility to look out for there own safety...you cant tell another man what kind of security they need. I guarantee d has more effective ways of checking out the ppl he does biz with then being hard on new members on the open board...

And to the original thread poster nope nothing here...

Most suspicious thing that's happened to me on hcu is when I first joined and had made my intro post I got a pm from a rep for a src here who wanted to 'help' me navigate the board, get wire, solicate my biz,,etc etc

I know it can be frustrating when newbs come to the board and post foolish and ignorant comments or questions but remember that this board has been built with respect, trust, reliability and the like.

I am not saying to 'give up' information but we still should comment back with professionalism and being civil.

That's a good point. I'm sure he knows what he's doing I guess we don't need to worry about newbs being newbs, etc.

If d had a problem or concerns with a member or post giving too much info he would just delete it and/or block the person. we need to give new members helpful advice so that they want to stay and contribute.not make them feel unwelcome...

Agreed, and if some new member starts posting all kinds of stuff that makes members uncomfortable yes something should be done. We can report posts and PM's that might come from unsavory people.
