Ok guys some of you who know me know my stats and I’m in my 4th week of bulking right now and running into a problem with eating, it seems like whenever I eat solid foods it’s like someone has there hands around my throat and the food won’t go down, it’s painful and it’s like a spasm of some sort cause it’s like all of a sudden whatever is going on it let’s go and then I can try to eat. Water and liquid don’t help, in fact it makes it worse???? I’m gonna make a doctors appointment in the am but has anyone heard of this or gone threw it???

Roc, a good friend of mine had these symptoms many years ago and it turned out to be a thyroid problem. I could be wrong but just passing onto you what I know through his experience.

Happens to me when I try to eat too fast and just slam food down. Try chewing more slowly and focus on something other then the act of force feeding yourself.

I had GERD (Gastroesophageal reflux disease), basically stomach acid backs up, and constricts the part where esophagus meets stomach.
A ring forms there and makes it hard for food to go down. (Had to go in once, had a piece of meat stuck for 17 hours, couldn't get it to go on my own, was severely dehydrated, so they had to put me out, go in and grab it, and stretch out that ring.

Its been good since, changed up the diet a bit, but bouts do come on, on occasion. Not saying that what you have, just something to keep in mind.

Well I added peppermint oil to water and drank that before and during I ate today and no issues, I started to feel some discomfort and took a drink and I could feel the food slide down my throat, I made a doctors app. But it’s not till July 2nd at night since it’s the only time I can get there with the only doctor I trust. I will keep updating and thanks!!

[h=2]Overview[/h]

  • [h=3]Esophagus[/h]

Difficulty swallowing (dysphagia) means it takes more time and effort to move food or liquid from your mouth to your stomach. Dysphagia may also be associated with pain. In some cases, swallowing may be impossible.Occasional difficulty swallowing, which may occur when you eat too fast or don't chew your food well enough, usually isn't cause for concern. But persistent dysphagia may indicate a serious medical condition requiring treatment.
Dysphagia can occur at any age, but it's more common in older adults. The causes of swallowing problems vary, and treatment depends on the cause.

[h=2]Symptoms[/h]
Signs and symptoms associated with dysphagia may include:
  • Having pain while swallowing (odynophagia)
  • Being unable to swallow
  • Having the sensation of food getting stuck in your throat or chest or behind your breastbone (sternum)
  • Drooling
  • Being hoarse
  • Bringing food back up (regurgitation)
  • Having frequent heartburn
  • Having food or stomach acid back up into your throat
  • Unexpectedly losing weight
  • Coughing or gagging when swallowing
  • Having to cut food into smaller pieces or avoiding certain foods because of trouble swallowing
[h=3]When to see a doctor[/h]
See your doctor if you regularly have difficulty swallowing or if weight loss, regurgitation or vomiting accompanies your dysphagia.If an obstruction interferes with breathing, call for emergency help immediately. If you're unable to swallow because you feel that the food is stuck in your throat or chest, go to the nearest emergency department.

Are you taking anything with forslean in it? Forkolin I mean. Or gugglesterones?

If so, stop.

It's something to do with thyroid and it feels like your tonsils are in pain when you swallow or it. I know the feeling.
