I have been climbing the ladder for 7 years, and I’m pretty far up (one step from a VP in a medium sized 150 million dollar company). I used to be a contractor/consultant in early 2000’s and did very well, then I became an employee and started the climb. Now I have 12 high salary direct reports under me and am over major projects.

I want to hear from people here who run their own business, shop, side hussle, etc and clear 140k a year.

I have the technical skill set to make a shit ton online. But the places I go are either full of shit with their success stories, or they are all barely pulling 50k a year.

Illegal or legal, doesn’t matter, who here lives a free man and pulls in over 140k a year profit/income? I don’t have to know details, but the more you can share the better. I need to boost.

Thank you

Im down..this is awesome topic. In my early 20’s i was a ironworker in nyc, pullin close to 100k. Partied up, no future thoughts existed at all, typical 20yr old. Buisness went south, so i had to be humbled and took a job makin $8 a hr drivin autoparts. Well 14yrs later i am still in that buisness, and have held positions from manager, to sales rep, and everything in between. I always advanced very quickly up the ranks do to a aptitude to learn and better, and a insane work ethic. Now, im not at that $140k, but close to 6 figures and really dont have to kill myself with 90hr weeks like i used to. I live near west palm..so i see money, and i mean 50million dollar houses all the time, so thats a major major push to create a better income for myself and my family. One thing i have always held true, and have told everyone i ever trained for a mgmt spot is surround yourself with people who are great at your weaknesses, and who can challenge your ethic..work place competition creates and amazing environment to succeed in

I am very good at what I do, and have never wanted wanted for anything, but saying that I bust my ass and I’m old school who was taught you need to work for everything and never be jelious!! Sure everyday isn’t sunshine but I made a great life for myself. I used to be that guy who would sell some bottles here and there but about 12 years ago I stopped everything that I would get in trouble cause I have to much to loose and everyone knows not to even bring up the topic around me. I was told early on if your working for someone always be second or third, never the man on top, your always out first. The kids today don’t work hard, it’s a dying breed out there, nobody wants to do the labor anymore cause everyone is too busy playing video games, bunch of fags and tranny’s out there today, the world is sick to look at!!

Not to hijack this, but i was at a coldstone the other nite. Young kid behind the counter, flyin around, great personality, paid attention, made sure the customer knew that they were a priority..and he was by himself with a line 6 deep. Afterward i asked him his age..16..told him whatever you do, DO NOT change how you work and treat people, and i havent seen that in a looong time from someone his age. Gave him my card, told him when hes 18, if he needs an oppurtunity to hit me up. Was great to see someone his age do what he was doing

Yeah same here. No illegal income anymore.
Too much to lose and I’m not slick enough.

Not sure this thread motivates me, doesn’t seem like too many are doing their own thing and pulling 140k or more. Sort of depressing.

Yup they all feel entitled. Got Guys working around me who think after 6-12 months they are worth more then they are. What you busted your ass one day so now your due putvthe time and effort in...earn it. That’s what I had to do

I've been wanted to do my own thing for about 5 years now, but the capitol needed in order to start just isn't in the cards right now. Not willing to sacrifice all my other comforts yet in order to make that happen. Maybe in a few years ditch the boat and cars etc and make it happen. CMON POWERBALLLLLL

If that’s all that’s holding you back... I envy you. I’d give up the creature comforts in a second if I knew I had a sure thing. You sound like you are about to start a blue collar businsss.

Yes sir - Im in the automotive field. Eventually hope to invest in more white collar type of businesses obviously to steer more towards a more automated income source. 150k a year is what - like $420 bucks a day? So working a 9-5 or even 7-7 isn't going to get you there. Gotta find a way to make maoney 24 hrs a day - not just the ones youre clocked in.

I can't even dream of making that much. I'm just a old shovel kicker who made a lot of poor choices in life. And today I have to deal with it. Paycheck to paycheck.
But I want my girls to do better. Have better and live better.

Monies nice but not what it’s all about. Sounds like your a family man and care about your girls and their well being. That’s more important then money any day

Well, "I'm not going to call it my own thing" cuz it's not..!

I work for the man, punch a clock overtime is optional.

I've done pretty well for myself & my "Broken" Family providing her & the 3 kids (always put them first ) & in a nice home , her "Always" in a nice vehicle.

The # 150K in your title is what caught my attention. But
Being my own boss I'm "not" / "YET"...!! I do have a plan.

Now, the # , this past year was my "Biggest" a few Hundo short of $150K, the year b4 that $137K , and I don't believe
Anything less than $130K, ($125 for sure ) in the last 10-12 years.

Plus, (little side hustle ) maybe 13K- 16, 17K extra under the table.

My Plan...! I have small acreage, 3 acres & 1 acre in
which I intend to grow "Cut-Flowers ". { Yes, the ones you
put into a vase , or give to mom , or Grandma }

& Specialty Produce , a small food plot for my own consumption & modest sales at Farm Markets & local
Florist's. For the Flowers , until my bigger plan comes together. Cut Flowers, "Still" the highest paying "Legal" Cash Crop , but that's not my motivation at all..

It'll be a Plus , all the rest of the Good will come out of engaging in the Growing , & the whole aspect /challenge of the eandeavor.

*** Moral of the first part above, Pays good, it's secure as long as I don't fuck it up (been 25+ years, so I think I'm locked ) and it has provided my family just about everything they could need (some wants ) but needs def taken care of & then some . Took alot of hours on my behalf, & what it got "me" was a Divorce & a Broken Family

So, the prospect of having your own thing (if it can truly reap those kind of numbers , I'm sure comes with a cost too, lots of time ..(risk v. Reward...? ) Potential to list your ass, or "Rise to the Top _ it still is a "Free" country & there Are more & more millionaire up-start's it seems & plenty if opportunities. But I've chosen the work (punch clock route ) tough these days either way ya slice it...!

Ive been doing pretty well for myself the past few years. Got injured at work and they treated me like shit because of it so I quit and took my part time venture full time. That was a little over 2 years now and it was the best decision I ever made. If you have an opportunity then take it! Working for a company is mostly a dead end!

Yates you have my dream job.

I lost 5,700 five years ago opening a peptide company.
I got stock, website done, ads done, etc. and then I found out the DEA had started busting peptide vendors who played by the rules. Basically my grey area venture turned into black market and I closed up shop.
I had 50 vials of of over 25 peptides. Never sold one. Had to dispose of them all eventually.

Read the book “Rich Dad, Poor Dad”. Create multiple forms of income, active and passive, for yourself. Best advice I can give anyone. Start small but start somewhere.

I make my own hours and have for a while.

Another good book is “Mutant message down under”.

I closed my research site because of that stuff too. Now I just sell to the companies out there that are still willing to take the risk. I definitely don't have any money issues, that is for sure. I am very happy I made the jump to being self sufficient.

That's nice, isn't it? Do whatever you want and when you want. I didn't feel like working yesterday so I went looking at cars and fucked around and bought a M6 lol

When I was young I wanted to be my own boss. Tried it the wrong way. Showing off, and wrong so called friends. and got caught. Cost me 22 yrs of my life. 6 of them on a unwanted vacation to hell. Today, I make maybe 27,000 a year. But I'm to scared to ever attempt anything to make more.
Damn, I wish I had stayed in school and got a career! Instead of dropping out and screwing up. Lol
