My road to glory part 1

Let’s get it my boys last lift of the week today so let’s get into it! No fasted cardio this morning still taking me awhile to fully wake up for the day so I hit cardio after the workout which is a nice change of pace but also comes with its own challenges bc I’m ready to go home after killing a lift day and gotta do cardio after instead but it’s gotta get done one way or another and I made my decision this morning. Steps for the day will likely be down though as I still haven’t gotten a new step mill for the house since my other one broke last week. To make up for that I went for 30 minutes of cardio instead of the scheduled 20 minutes. Weight was down a bit again today weighing in at 193.9! Dropping this water weight finally makes me feel a lot better about my weight mentally. Still a fat boy in my head so seeing the scale climb too high too fast makes the body dysmorphia kick into high gear. Today’s pull workout went great and I wasn’t as strong as previous days this week but still made some PRs on a couple lifts. That’s one thing that’s been great about the scale climbing is that my strength has been improving every week which def makes the lifts more rewarding and challenging at the same time. I was pretty slow to start today and wasn’t highly motivated to get after it but once I get a few sets in I got going. Still continuing the no hgh at least until next check in with coach Tuesday.

Todays workout:

Day 6 pull
  • Nautilus sa lat pull down 4x10-15@80 12/12/12/10

What’s good my gym peoples it’s Monday starting a new week and we’re back on the grind. Yesterday’s rest day was glorious I definitely needed the break to reset and recover from the weeks brutal workouts I put myself through. Still moving forward with the no hgh at least until tomorrow’s check in with coach and we’ll reassess things from there. Water weight came back with a vengeance the last two days and I’m back to 202 again so we implemented another dose of .5 anastrozole tonight and see if it goes back down again, pretty weird that it’s fluctuating so much especially when I’ve had my diet pretty locked in. Decided moving forward until I feel back to my normal self energy wise I will be hitting cardio after work after I’ve had all day to wake up and a workout getting my blood pumping bc I just can’t do mornings rn getting up at 4 am just feels like an impossible task rn, so I’m pivoting and still getting things done. Strength has been improving each week and I’m slowly turning into an absolute unit, can’t ask for much more than that!

Today’s workout:

  • Seated leg curl 3x8-12@200 12/9/8

What’s going on guys, man today was rough but the gym is therapy and who doesn’t look forward to a solid push day. Spent most of the day today dragging ass and had to fight myself to get things done but when quitting time came I was locked in for this workout. Today is check in day with coach but unfortunately as of writing this I haven’t heard from him today so he must be behind or something came up and I’ll get it late tonight or tomorrow, either way I’ll plan on updating you guys in tomorrows post. Weight was down a whole 5 lbs after last nights .5 anastrozole dose and I’m back to 197 again. This up and down yo-yoing is pretty annoying so hopefully we get a plan locked in and back on the gains train! Felt pretty solid after today’s workout and am feeling confident that when the cut comes I’m gonna be a beast, until then gonna keep on grinding away and stay locked in so I can hopefully place in my first ever show later this year (haven’t set a date or picked a show yet). Todays push day was a good one and I got a great pump and strength is steady improving if even by a few reps it’s still progress 💪🏾

Todays workout:

Day 2 push
  • prime lateral raise 3x10-15@145 12/11/10
  • Hammer strength incline 2x8-12@135 12/9

What’s going on playas we’re at the mid week checkpoint and I’ve earned myself that rest day coming tomorrow bc I’ve killed it this week! Still dealing with the ongoing exhaustion but I’m powering through, one thing worth noting is now that I’m getting my estrogen in check my motivation to train is coming back strong which makes things a lot easier! Check in day yesterday went smooth and mainly we went over some training videos and I got some tips I’ll be implementing to improve my training and knee pain as well. Most importantly though we’re starting an ai protocol of .5 anastrozole M/W/F moving forward since I seem to be aromatizing so fast. Weighed in at 194.9 this morning so I’m down 7 lbs since Monday so I’m shedding water weight like crazy but doing so my joints feel much better and I’m far less achy and stiff all over. Happy to have figured that out and good to see my weight back down bc it climbed far too fast and I thought I was getting fat lol. Today was an epic pull day to round out the midweek before an off day tomorrow, strength was up and I got a super solid pump. Getting bigger and better day by day!

Today’s workout:

Day 3 pull
  • Nautilus sa lat pull 2x8-12@90 12/10
  • Chest supported T bar row 3x8-12@115 12/10/9

What’s good gangsters I’m back after a well earned break yesterday and ready to make some gains! It’s easy to get caught up in the routine and forget to live a little and I fall victim to that a lot so yesterday I spent my time off from the gym and went to see a movie with my wife and her cousin which was really nice to get out and do something that’s not bodybuilding related. Was up a bit later than I would have preferred but that’s okay every once in awhile, I was still able to get in at least 6 hours of sleep. Skipped the dinner before the movie though bc ya boys gotta stay locked in on meals 💯. Today I was slow to get up but after I got moving I wasn’t any more tired than usual and I only had a half day of work today so powering through was easy. Todays workout I was maybe a bit weaker than average but I also really focused on time under tension today and the pump which usually correlates to lower weights being used. I got a little caught up in moving heavier weights bc it’s fun lately and need to dial back into staying focused on that t.u.t. And squeeze the hell out of each rep. Was a bit hungrier today than the last few days so staying on meal plan was hard but I’m managing. My body just really wants to be a fat boy lol. Joints are feeling pretty good and less stiff after the ai protocol but my knees still bothered me a bit especially on the first set of extensions even though I was well warmed up and stretched, may start looking to use some of the bpc I have on hand to see if that helps at all. Run it by coach and get his opinion.

We got another fire sale going on over at USP check it out this weekend!!

Day 5 push/leg
  • Leg ext 3 10-15@180 10/12/12

What’s up my dudes it’s nearing the end of the week and it’s my last lift day of the week so gotta end it with a bang! Today was a lazy day for me as it should be on the weekend and I got caught up on some sleep and just chilled for the day minus my gym session where I was able to push it hard bc I was nice and rested up. Today was pull day and it’s a pretty intense session, really focused on squeezing the muscle and getting a good contraction with a pause at the end of each rep range really trying to drive hypertrophy throughout the lift. Quality reps have very heavy weight is the way to go and I felt I was ever so slightly starting to push heavy weights bc let’s be honest it’s much more fun to do that but I’m here to make progress and be a bodybuilder not a powerlifter anymore so time to get back to the basics and make this offseason beneficial. A thick wide back can make or break a physique on stage and I want to win my first show!! Felt pretty solid today and confident that I’m putting on some solid muscle this bulk and the cuts gonna go crazy!

Dont miss out on the fire sale going on this weekend at USP!

What’s up fellas it’s a new week and we’ve got new limits to reach let’s get it in. Yesterday’s rest day was much appreciated and I did a decent amount of relaxing after I got my meal prep done for the week. Did end up snacking a bit yesterday…don’t tell coach coach 😭 I gambled and bought a couple snacks I had been craving with the intention to rationing them throughout the week so it wouldn’t really effect my overall macros but that didn’t work I kept going back and next thing I knew they were gone. Live and learn, if I don’t buy them I can’t eat them! I had intended to try to burn some of this bloat off with some extra cardio today but I woke up this morning with and have been fighting a migraine all day including during my workout which was a bitch but I powered through. If circumstances were different I may have taken it easier today but I couldn’t bring myself too. Check in is tomorrow so I’ll keep you guys posted on any changes that may happen. Dropped the weight a bit on hacks and leg press so I could really focus on time under tension and really squeeze out high quality reps.

Todays workout:

Day 1 legs
  • Seated leg curl 3x8-12@200 11/8/8
  • Leg extension 2x10-15@180 12/10

  • Standing calf raise 3x12-15@200,200,180 14/10/12

What’s going on gym folk got some updates from check ins so let’s get into it. Some minor meal plan restructuring is in the works with slightly lowered carbs and raised fats on my meals moving forward to help with satiety. Also may start Reta back up at 2mg a week to help drown out food noise bc I’m always hungry but it’s kinda up to me if I want to implement it or not and I’m on the fence if I want to go back on it again bc well pride (I’m in a bulk I should be able to control things fine myself) and I also got the unwanted side effect of anhedonia my last run of it and became this robot that made living life with the family difficult so I’m kind of in the mindset of save that for the cut when it’s really needed and just lock tf in for rn and stop bullshittin. Coach gave me the option and it’s not like I need to make a decision right away so I’ll think on it for a couple days. Other than those two things everything else remains the same.

Todays workout went pretty smoothly although bc it was busy I had to do my workout out of order and that really triggered the tism lmao but got it done and again got back to the basics of squeezing out each rep and slowing them down. Kept the weights the same for the most part even while doing so so I’m definitely getting stronger which means I’m getting at least some size as well. Never thought I’d be pushing 200 again after cutting down from 230 last year when ya boy got fat but now I’m a way different 200 and it feels good. Estrogen symptoms are going down on the 3x.5 ai protocol and I’m feeling much better overall. Exhaustion still present but maybe improving ever so slightly but I know it takes awhile to recover from crashing my mitochondria so I’ll keep at it as much as I need to and will hopefully be better soon.

What’s going on bros it’s the midweek checkpoint and damn am I happy to have a rest day tomorrow I’ve been going hard af this week and I can feel it, plus I’ve been really tired this week so I’m also happy that tomorrow is my last work day as well so it lines up pretty nicely and I’ll rest up and be ready for Fridays session. As I stated yesterday my meal plan is changed up and I’m on a mini cut to tighten back up over the next few weeks bc I’m a bit soft so time to lock in, besides summers practically here and I gotta look at least decent with the shirt off. Continuing to hold off on the gh as well for the next couple weeks until coach wants to add it back in. Decided I’m going to raw dog the mini cut and not use Reta until I’m in a real cut phase but shouldn’t be an issue just gotta change the mindset and lock in to the meal plan. Todays workout went pretty good even though I was mad tired I got a solid session in and again I slowed things down and made every rep a high quality one. After all I’m still trying to grow to so let’s see if I can recomp over the next few weeks!

Also you’re not going to believe this but USP has got another fire sale going on starting this Friday through the 4th. Check it out!!

What’s up my dudes it’s freaky Friday and I’m trying to look like a mutant today. No work for me today so it was a chill day for the most part. Got some decent sleep of about 8.5 hours which was nice but I had an appointment this morning so I had to get up, I would of like another hour or so but it’s whatever I’ve got the whole weekend to catch up and rest up. As my one last hurrah in my diet I saved up my carbs from today’s preworkout and a little extra from breakfast to enjoy a donut for my preworkout meal and it was fire so no harm done in terms of macros but definitely not the highest quality carbs I could be eating but that’s why it’s a one off. Coach wants me to tighten up a bit these next few weeks and I wouldn’t mind getting my abs to show just a tiny bit more for summer. I don’t need to be shredded like I was a couple months ago but having a defined shape would be nice, gotta be able to show out this summer after being a fat boy last year! 😂 In preparation for this I cleaned the house out of any temptations so I can lock it down and make this mini cut a success so I can get back to growing for the rest of the cycle.

Dont forget to check out USP’s latest sale going on this weekend!!

Todays workout:

Day 5 push/leg
  • Leg ext 3 10-15@180 12/12/11

What’s happening you gym freaks today’s a great day, it’s the weekend and my last lift of the week so what’s not to love! Officially starting the new meal plan fully today and so far it’s not too bad but is challenging here and there bc I’m eating less food than I’m used too and I’ve been especially hungry today so taking that in stride and adapting to be being hungry at times. Went grocery shopping and stayed true to the meal plan and only got the necessities needed and no extra frills. Felt pretty good today only complaint is a tights trap trying to take over my lifts on the left side so really tried to focus and target the specific muscles that I wanted to work. Strength was average today nothing special but not any weaker than usual. Again keeping the exercises simple and really stressing a good stretch and slow steady reps today which I feel is especially important for back workouts.

Todays workout:

Day 6 pull
  • Nautilus sa lat pull down 4x10-15@80 12/12/10/10
  • Chest supported t bar row 3x8-12@115 11/10/10

AYO what’s good family new week and new PRs to set so let’s be better than last week. Yesterday’s rest day was a needed break from the gym but a busy day of cleaning and upkeep that had been neglected the last couple weeks. So when that alarm went off for work this morning I said fuck it and burned a vacation day to get me a long weekend. Check in days tomorrow as always and it’ll be the end of the first week on the new diet so we’ll see if we make any adjustments or stick to the current plan. Today like a said was a chill day almost too chill I wasn’t looking forward to the gym that much but once I got there and that initial pump hit I was ready to go hard af. Wore shorts to the gym today for maybe the second time this year and gotta say I’m pleased with the leg growth that I’ve seen over the winter. Quads are starting to look juicy can’t wait until I cut and they’re nice and feathered out. Todays workout went great less knee pain today and was able to get some solid sets in with full rom nice and slow too. Achilles tendon is flaring up a bit but only seems to bother me on my treadmill walking cardio, pretty weird considering the rest of the workout is fine. Will continue to stretch and monitor it moving forward.

Today’s workout:

Day 1 legs
  • Seated leg curl 3x8-12@200 12/9/8
  • Leg extension 2x10-15@180 11/11

Happy cinco de mayo to everyone except the people who can actually eat tacos/burritos today… I’m jealous!!
Todays check in day but seems coach is running behind on getting back to me today as of writing this so I’ll have to post any updates tomorrow though I doubt much is going to change this week. Been locked into the new diet and executing that pretty well but man I hate being hungry! I’m such a fat kid at heart man it’s rough sometimes lol. Todays workout went great strength was average but ensuring I stay focused on really good form strength tends to go down a bit or increase less frequently over time. Shoulders felt great I’m still amazed how well I move with having a torn labrum in my left shoulder but I’ll take any wins I can get!! My main priority is always staying healthy enough to do what I love to do. Legs felt good today not too stiff or sore so im recovering well which is good bc there was awhile there where I always felt subpar day to day. Todays weight was 195.6 so stabilizing around 194-196 on the day we’ll try and drop that down to 190 in the next couple weeks.

Todays workout:

Day 2 push
  • prime lateral raise 3x10-15@145 12/11/9
  • Hammer strength incline 2x8-12@135 10/8
  • Db flat bench 3x8-12@105 10/8/6

What’s up dudes it’s the mid week checkpoint and I’m feeling like I could use a rest day so tomorrow works out great. Been pushing it hard this week focusing on form and slow controlled reps really taking things back to the drawing board after getting a little carried away here and there chasing the weight instead of keeping focused on quality clean reps with time under tension. Gotta maximize growth and get as big as possible before prep starts so I can shred down into an absolute unit. Food noise has been a little up the last couple days and that’s been annoying but nothing I can’t handle. Just gotta stay locked in for another week or two and I’ll be back into my growth phase following what we’ll call this mini cut phase I’m in currently. Check ins last night went great coach was pleased with where I’m at and we added gh back into the mix at 3iu every night. This caused some water retention and my weight jumped up 2lbs overnight but that was to be expected. Keeping everything else the same for this next week and maybe starting some clen back up next week, we will see. Todays workout was a good one could have been better as I was pretty distracted but was still able to get a quality workout in. Strength was again pretty average except maybe a bit stronger on bicep movements today as I got a couple extra reps in.

Todays workout:

Day 3 pull
  • Nautilus sa lat pull 2x8-12@80 12/12
  • Chest supported T bar row 3x8-12@115 11/9/8
  • Hammer strength sa high row (lat bias) 3x10-15@135 12/10/9
  • Sa cable pullover 2x12-20@90 15/13
  • Db preacher curl 3x10-15@30 13/11/10

  • 80mg Telmisartan daily
  • .5mg anastrozole M/W/F

What’s good family pushed through another work week and after yesterday’s rest day I was amped up for today’s workout. After starting the gh back up my edema immediately got worse and scale jumped 3lbs. Ankles are puffy and swollen but it’s only been two days so we’ll see if it levels out or not and if I need to make some other kind of adjustments. Other than that everything is the same for the most part, acne has gone down but still more prevalent than my normal skin condition. Just nature of the beast when messing with hormone levels it’s not over the edge so I’ll try some over the counter stuff for mainly my back and go from there. Strength was up today and knees felt really good today no issues at all for once so let’s hope I’m leaving that in the past. Shoulders had some odd clicks and grinds but nothing constant or repeatable so nothing to be concerned with after all they’ve both been fucked up over the years.

Todays workout:

Day 5 push/leg

What’s going on it’s been an excellent week this week for me and I closed it out with the same energy I kept throughout the week. Late start to the day today as I slept in ate breakfast and took another nap so I was hella rested and ready to kill today’s lifts. After last nights dose of ai my water is more under control and those few pounds of water weight are gona and I’m sitting back around 200 again let’s see how it holds through the weekend though. Everything is feeling pretty good no issues which is great. Food noise is down today helped I slept half the day away and have been busy getting shit done the rest of the day so no time to be hungry. Today was the last lift of the week and today’s pull day is pretty intense so I’ll be enjoying my rest day tomorrow.

What’s crackin homies it’s Monday and the start of a new week, let’s all try and improve from last week! That’s always the goal if even the smallest amount better is still progress! Yesterdays rest day went great although my new step mill hasn’t come in yet as it got delayed for whatever reason so I didn’t hit my step count for the day but taking it easy was nice just meal prepped for the week and chilled. Weight was up today again but I’ve noticed the last two weeks that over the weekend is the longest I go without an ai dose and my weight seems to always be higher come Monday mornings since my last dose was Friday night. Should come off after tonight’s dose and be back around 197/198 in the morning like I should be. Edema is managed during the week mostly but also flared up more over the weekend which makes sense. Today’s workout was great I was motivated and moving some heavier weights today. But the best part was after stretching and doing some mobility work and adding in some sissy squats I had zero knee pain on any of today’s lifts so that’s a huge win hopefully I’ve figured out what works for me and can start pushing weights up as my knees feel better. Kept the same goals in mind today as last week, perfect form with nice and slow controlled reps and was still able to move either more weight or more reps today. So progress has been made and I’m gonna keep the wins coming this week. Check in day is tomorrow and I’ll have a few changes for sure so I’ll keep you all updated!

What up my dudes it’s Tuesday and ya boy called into work today and got some good sleep in felt great but left me feeling a little sluggish and slow to get things going but once I did I was a machine. After last nights ai dose I shed the water weight from over the weekend like I thought I would and weighed in this morning at a nice 194 on the dot. Means I’ve dropped probably 2-3 lbs on this mini cut in addition to the water weight so I can call it a success so far. I feel my look shows it too abs slightly more visible but maybe that’s just placebo idk. Feeling good with the direction that my bulks going and eager to get back to it after this mini cut for a few more weeks until mid June I believe is the plan and go from there. The cut is gonna go absolutely insane and I’m really excited to see what progress I’ve made underneath this slim layer of fluff! No word from coach yet on check ins today so I’ll either update everyone later tonight or tomorrow on what changes are made. Current physique pics posted below 😈💪🏾

What’s good gym family we made it to the midweek checkpoint let’s get into it. Today was a mid day spent most of the day tired and not too motivated including my workout tonight, but that’s where champions are made. Doing what’s necessary even when the drive isn’t there and getting it done regardless 💯 Looking forward to tomorrow’s rest day since fatigue is pretty high and my legs were still a bit sore/stiff from Mondays lift. Gonna take it easy and goto bed early tomorrow night. Check ins with coach went good he’s happy with what’s going on so I’m happy with it. Now that we’ve got everything dialed in we’re gonna up the Masteron again and see how my body responds to it. Going from 40mg eod back up to 100mg eod. Should see some good changes from over doubling the current dose and get some hardening up and a more refined look. Mini cut is still continuing for right now so all I need to do is stay locked in and I’ll be back to bulking again in no time.
