Maybe infection?

Deeper is better, especially in larger muscle groups. I could post a few links about it, but I'm being lazy right now. I know I've spent a lot of time "googling" this for proper procedure and have read this.

I've been reading how tricky it is to properly pin certain muscle groups so as not to get that electric shock feeling when a nerve gets nicked.

Ya once I get past that first layer of skin I start pinning really slow just waiting for a shock like that lol when it goes in smooth I'm like, "yes!" But then some times the site still hurts after or the next day because of whatever reason lol

The worst thing are the gushers. Had several times that happened. A mess to clean up, especially if any blood got on my clothes...yikes.

I have a certain i pin on my quads if i deviate from that its usually pretty painful

Go in fast like a dart and you won't have much trouble. Find your landmarks and follow advice from medical professionals, no secondhand stuff from internet brahs. Really though that's how I do things and how I'll continue to do things. Do you own thing though if you want.

May have missed the muscle some or went thur the other side . I've had it happen and my leg swole up like a ballon it did go down after a week or so.

Same thing happened to me a couple months ago. My leg looked like a bratwurst ready to explode....and I couldn't bend it for shit. 10 days and then I was gtg. Weird.

I shit bricks cause I was afraid it was infected...but no fever or redness.

when in doubt...check it out.
