Managing Cycles for the Family or No

I don't see discussions about this, but I can't be the only one with this old dad (50yrs) dilemma. My wife and I are newly open about cycles and are planning for my next. She would like to try Anavar with Osterine. She was hooked on the pump and feel for an Osterine only 45 day cycle. I would like to add test E to my test C base TRT. I have heard they work well together. Maybe some Deca for the knees and shoulders.

Here is the big question. My youngest HS son (6'3" 220)has been talking about the pressure from team mates to begin. His coaches want 25 lbs with 375-400 bench an 400-450 squat for next season. This is the same Coach approach my college FB coach used to get us on (wink wink nudge nudge). I have told him to come to me first. I know from personal experience what it can do for him and do to him with wrong selections. Thoughts and advice?

He is a sophomore playing varsity for a local HS power. I think I can put him off for maybe another year at most. I am focusing on speed and told him this off season has to be Speed specific. His squat is 385 (he has natural big legs). His bench is his weakness at 275. Deadlift is same as squat. He is Dline and the coaches want him 250 for Jr yr. I think I can get him to maybe 235. He just wants to play for D1 college.

Part of me wants to say wow I wish my dad was cool about stuff like this. The other part says wtf. Teach him he's gonna have to deal with pressure in all aspects of life. As we all know there is no easy path for most of us. Start teaching him now how he's better off not starting aas at that age. It's a lifelong commitment, trt at 22? Is it really worth it?
Endocrine system or Football hmmmm...

I have the devil on one shoulder and the angel on the other. I did my cycles in college and was stupid about it. Did dbol oral because I simply didn't want to pin. Killed my knees and tendons because I didn't know about Deca and working out correctly. Listened to the big tool sheds who eventually ended up in the hospital with liver shut down. I want to dissuade him until the very last, but want to be real about. I would rather guide than find out someone else did.

If we could do it over again wouldn't we do more but be smarter? I think I could have extended my FB longevity/performance.

he is very young to start cycling his stats are close to what mine were At his age. I also played a year of college ball before I was injured... not for a D1 school tho. I started college ball at 245 with a 380 bench and 540 squat natural. I was Oline and quickness and explosiveness is definitely needed for be successful in Dline. I'm sure your aware of the risks of cycling and that he has lots of growing to do without aas but only you and him can make that decision. Everyone was a teenager once lol and the last thing you want him to do is use behind your back. His hormones right now naturally should be optimal to grow and with proper diet and excersise he can make great gains. Also, is he responsible enough to handle the ups and downs of cycling? Is he going to be able to stay focused and motivated when coming off cycle? The worst thing for his football career would be to go into season lethargic and unmotivated because his body is trying to recover.... not to mention the risk of never recovering... Technique is most important in football and mastering that will make up for size and strength differences. Focus on explosiveness... power cleans... push press... etc.... again no one can make the decision for him or you we can all just offer our thoughts and advice.

This is what I needed to hear. I cant be the only one struggling with this. We have all seen what the signing recruits look like. Some are just big ole studs, but there are others that you know are amazingly muscular. I will continue with food, supps and a ton of training. I will continue to push the natty path. We will cross the bridge if he does talk to me or I notice a drastic physical change.

Thank you for letting me get that one off my chest. Maybe it will help others as they have duplicates of themselves that come to age.

I 100% agree it's way better having dad by his side than some bro science teammate that knows everything about cycling because the guy he gets his stuff from taught him everything. I absolutely respect where you're coming from on this issue.

If he's gonna make the jump then test would be as far as he should go. I'm sure we all remember the insane gains from our first test cycle. The strength, speed, aggression and massive I can do anything attitude.

My personal opinion would be to first educate educate and educate him on all the negative things that could happen if he does start at his age. Because when we're that young we all knew it could never happen to us. While you doing this let him know no matter what you have his back.

The hardest thing to deal with will probably be even after giving his all while on aas is the pressure of losing. Because the pressure to win is why he started in the first place.

Losing is a positive thing because it makes one hungry to win.

My best wishes for you and your son!!!!

He is just a kid so I say you tell him, "Do as I say, not as I do." Not a good idea to for him to use AAS at such a young age. If he wants to gain more weight he needs to eat more. If he needs to up his weights, spend the money on a strength coach and not steroids.

Thank you for the great advice and support. This is something I think only the guys here would understand.

I did just drop a grand on a NFL/CFL D lineman for 4 months coaching.

That's great. He will benefit way more from that. Strength and size are just an advantage. They mean nothing if you can't execute proper technique and mastering that will put him in a much better position for college ball. Good Luck and Merry Christmas

You can tell him this.....as a high school athlete I was recruited by multiple large schools which included Ohio State and Michigan. In 10th grade my HS trainer started me on AAS and I thought I was destined for stardom. My high school years played out as they should have. Records. Official visits. You name it. Then I changed. I lost my love for the game and found another. Serving my country as a Marine. While Ill never know what I could have been on the green I know what I am now and I would never change a thing. Accept my early use of AAS. It has fucked me hormonally since I can remember and have had nothing but issues since trying to fix it all. I was a TRT candidate at 21 years old!!!!! Imagine that! My test at 21 was 54 and I had ED. My test never rebounded. Letting him use you are teaching him that there are short cuts. There arent. If he really wants to play on Saturdays and Sundays he needs to earn it under those Friday night lights and the days preceding them in the gym. Not by pinning. Its not easy but its the right choice.

I know guys that are natty that can seriously out lift guys on gear. Especially the younger guys. Kid below is natty, 18 years old.

That's what a kid can do if he really applies himself. All that free flowing test at that age, plus proper training. Not that I know that kid or anything. Just want to be clear. I just read about him and his training before so I know of him.

Awesome insight Jarhead, I didn't really want to chime in on this subject matter, but one.of the very "valid' point you just mentioned (hormonally fucked, @ an early age mind you...! ).

I was thinking "exactly" along those lines, suppose he finds the right gal..? A marriage made in heaven {after of course he reached his academic eandevor's , Athletic as well, or Find"s that the passion for the game diminishes at some point, or has another calling in Life.

And, well with.the gal subject realizes he can't have kids, or even perform for that matter/ on trt for life @ an early
( too early an age). Then what...?

Well put Brother, very well.put

OHBRUTUSIO thank you for your service and putting it on the line for us regular guys. My Bro is a DS1 vet. You are a stud and a hero.

That story is going to get used and hammered home. Now I get what Anon44 was saying as well. That is powerful stuff my brother.

Crap, I didn't even think about the risk of it not coming back for a young man. All the talk of PCTs makes you think it is just that simple. That would be a hell of a future talk of why I didn't tell him the risk. My oldest just got married.

To the point as always MCMM.

Just watched the squat video with the boy. If that doesn't get you pumped somethings wrong. Thanks Kins

Hell don't make it complicated; just tell him what u just told us. Besides he's a sophomore, YOU know he's gonna get hella strong over the next two years, you KNOW this. We know this. Set up his nutrition program right and tell him to take ONE year and monitor the improvement then do the "math" to see what he'll be at start of senior year; fuck them coachs, They obviously don't give two shits about YOUR son. You do.

I agree and some hs coaches now act like some college coaches (I realize there are good ones still left). With a known program ours think they own your son's future.
The yearly goals seem to be set above what is realistic for size/weight. Gain 25 lbs get stronger and drop your 40 by .2 sec. The plan from home is to work his ass off, eat and sleep. That supps are all none hormonal and clean for teens. I will keep it open and hope he comes to me if pressured or approached again (which will happen).
