I just started the anabolic diet high fats and protein with 25grams of carbs a day taken post workout. I been doing the standard high carb low fat diet for a while now and wanted to try something new anyone else ever tried this and what kind of results did you get? My goal is to add lean muscle mass do you think this is the best option right now I'm 215 at about 10% body fat I'm 6'1 and 32 years old.. Btw Saturday and Sunday are my carb up days

Gain mass but not too much fat

If your wanting sheer mass, forget the Anabolic diet, or the Adkins diet "you NEED carbs" to gain mass, no in between, and 10% BF isn't too out if line for gaining Mass either, I'd just cycle ny carbs at times & get urseld dialed in to where your steadily gaining & "not" laying down too much fat some is okay ,

(but not dirty bulking , unless your a HardGainer, then I'd
say eat some junk, have two cheat meals etc.)

I find, that if I don't get in over 350 ++ grams of carbs I don't gain, stay lean, but hiver between 195 & like 202 as of late. & I'm mYbe just under 10% maybe 8..?

Stepping my carb intake up to well over 500 this time
around .

20% total fat 1 - 1.3 grams protien per lb of lean mass

& "Plenty" of carbs, remember, carbs are protien sparing, so you really only need about a bit more than a gram or a tad more Protien for repair. Carbs for the energy and to stave off muscle wasting , keep it full and in a growth conducive environment.

I'm definitely not a hard gainer I used to be out of shape 260 my diet right now is 2 pounds of ground beef and a dozen eggs a day broke into 6 meals post workout is 10 egg whites and half a cup of oats this puts me around 4000 cals a day should I just add carbs to what I'm currently doing or cut some of the other stuff out and add carbs

Well I hear this a lot where people wanna gain mass but not to much fat, it’s not impossible but don’t fear from being sloppy, the sloppy is what protects you from injury and keeps you lubed up to HANDLE THE HEAVY weights. Off season is just for this reason, eat what you want, get some bad weight on and then pile some more on. Anyone I’ve talked to or that has talked to me has told me just that! If you want the mass you need the carbs and you need some crap food in there as well and don’t live so muscle and fitness magazine, it doesn’t work!! Pasta, rice, potatoes, canned food as well is a great source, nothing wrong with spaghetti O’s as a quick carb meal, don’t think so chicken and broccoli, it won’t bring on the mass, instead concentrate on red meat, dense food that will keep with you longer to slow things down, drink milk or add some into ur diet, peanut butter is a great high fat treat at night and look in the diet section here, cause someone posted up a peanut butter ball recipe with oatmeal which kicks ass and I brought them into my diet and love them! Drink plenty of water to move things threw, and eat some ice cream before bed to gain some lbs. like anything diet takes time, don’t burn yourself out in 3 days then the rest of the week fall off then try to play catch up on the weekend and cram 8000 cals in one day, you will just be in pain in the bathroom. Consistently in the kitchen makes gains!!! Not the MG of gear

Like Roc said , (and def my whole intent ) yeah in used to eat two lbs of meat daily too, & 18 eggs (every day ) 1 lb chxz 1lb beef and the eggs as well, just as you described.
Divided amongst 6 squares. + Met-RX shakes or my fav Beverly International , took me over 7000 calories to step it up to beyond 225 - 230, for to 241 reasonable lean but some excess baggage & huffing from the extra weight.

But I truly wasn't eating enough initially to get beyond 200 even , serious compound moves , some assistance work ( for me train hard /more rest eat, eat eat. )

But yes, change it up for varities sake sweet potato one meal brown rice the next, pasta here n there is fine.
Oatmeal, lots if Oats in my diet , even oat bars, oatmeal cookies (but 3/4 dry measure wholesome Oatmeal on the stove with walnuts & apples /pineapple etc aittle cream/whole milk .

This..^^^™ I'm looking forward to now, very soon just have to get some shit in order & it's go time.

Serious Mass for me this off-season too, looking for 25-30 lbs by years end , or end if January latest .

Eat carbs like crazy. Fuck I had and Oreo shake from Dairy Queen last night lol. Today I had 2 triple hamburgers at in n out. I eat pancakes every morning. Protein shakes with strawberries and banana peanut butter at least 2 times a day. I eat to grow. I’ll put on 20-30 lbs by January but my waist will never get out of control. I’m always 10% or single digits. Eat caloric dense nutritious foods. I don’t snack on shit. I eat real food. keep your cardio high and your workouts intense. You won’t gain much fat. I always cardio even during a bulk. Just drop it to 20-30 min 3-4 times a week.

Don’t fuck with macros or a diet until you decide to cut hard.
