Wasn't sure the exact place to post this, so just went with General Discussion here.
So how many of you are Levrone fans, and how many followed his dismal return to the Olympia stage last year? I thought he looked pretty damn decent... other than his legs of course.
Well, he's definitely been adding some thickness, and making some damn impressive lifts. With regard to his legs, being there's so much continued controversy, he says he's not going to post anymore progress pics of his wheels, but claims they're 80% ready. He's not making a return to the Olympia stage this year, but has plans for another stage.
Anyhow - just thought I'd post up for any others that are Levrone fans like myself. He's from my era. Here's a most recent vid of him putting up 500lbs on incline bench, and a quick shot at his upper body development: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VKgGL2lew4w

He's sure made a swift comeback and I certainly do think he's pretty much past his prime but he sure kept plugging away. I agree that he won't ever do an appearance at the O again but rather at some lesser shows. He does have a decent physique for his age and his muscle memory is fantastic. Wonder if he's having issues with his legs that keep them from developing the way they should?

Are you kidding me, I love Levrone, he is very respected in my book, and at his age, ability to do this once again.

Dude is still freakin Strong as hell. I'm always getting on to see some of his latest progress, or what new Vid's arise. ShaaaaBoom..!

Shit, I was going to maybe go this year, as I've never been, just to see him, and say I've gone b4 I take my dirt nap.

He's 53 years old, so he's definitely past his physiological "prime," but what he's showing at his age is remarkable. He believes (and I can see it) that he's still capable of achieving a close enough version of his prime, to win a show (or more). So far as his legs - he claims there are no problems, and that he's put inches on them. When he was training for last year's O, he had some knee issues that prevented him from squatting. But he got therapy for that issue and has been back to heavy squats and leg press. So I don't think there are any issues with legs. He's addressed his critics and says he'll be ready come show time.

I'm not 100%, but I think his intention is to do the Sheru Classic mid Oct, and if he does well, advance toward the 2018 O.

Levrone is an awesome bodybuilder. Given enough time he probably get "close" to his 90's physique. But his biggest enemy is father time, but whos enemy is it not...

Got ta give him some credit. He was one of my all-time favs. Definately past his prime but it still takes him aalot of discipline and courage to get back out there. I wish him the best of luck.
