Even though im up North, been following this fucker closely. Any HCU brothers who are down there or have family/friends down there, you are definetely in my prayers. Here i am just like a normal week and these people in FLorida are running for lives or bracing for what could be death. This shit is gonna be bad, supposedly going to hit The Keys has a CAT 5.......fucking horrible.....ive dont live in Hurricane areas but i saw some video of this bitch Imra from the bahamas, its serously incredible ( in a bad way ) it looked like the end of the world.

Regards

My pops down south Florida. All I have to worry about is the damn rain from it. We'll get the out skirts of it. Rain and hopefully no tornados.

I'm hoping that it's not too bad on the idiots that are staying. They don't realize what they're fixing to go through. I've been through many cat 3 hurricanes. It's always fun to be honest, but my father and I built our houses. But anything over a 3 I'm not staying. I'm about 1 mile from the Gulf. I'm high and dry usually but if you were talking about a cat 5 we get a higher storm surge than South Florida because the Gulf is shaped like a cup. There's nowhere for the water to go but inland. I'll put it this way. Katrina had a 34.1 foot storm surge in Louisiana. There's really nowhere around here that would not be flooded. I saw 6 feet of water in people's yards after Ivan. I knew they were going to flood there though.

I was down in eastern coast of NC in 2011 for work when IRENE hit. I was living right on the ocean at the time and i remember driving home that day and the rainfall was incredible, i couldnt see at all. It hit there as a tropical storm but still knocked the power out for about 15 hours and alot of tree debris in the streets. Most of the locals their were excited for it, which i thought was strange but they are used to it, like a snow day for us northerners. Im from up North so i have never been through something like that, honestly i was kind of excited, it was really interesting to watch that come in. Everyone had the same tip for me: Plenty of ice and plenty of beer.

Stay safe you guys that are on south FL west coast...Irma's gunning for that area.

Miami was fortunate we didn't get a direct hit. Where I am in Miami never even lost power. Many around me have and I will be busy over the next several weeks helping restore the power. Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers

Rode that bitch out, NE florida, really only a tropical storm by the time it hit us but a hell of a ride. and flooding on top of already soaked grounds. Lived here al my life, its part of living here!! Now time to get power back up for people, lets get it!!

Yeah hurricanes have always been exciting since I was a kid. Friends and family always came to stay at my parents house during hurricanes so it seemed festive and fun. This was the first my little boy went through. I was happy to be able to share it with him. And I was happy to only get a little wind and rain, we saw and heard a few trees fall but they were all dead, rotten trees.

I stayed in Orlando through it . lost power 2 days but had a generator . too much in the fridge too risk . bunch of trees everywhere on power lines and shit but nothing serious . it was only a cat 2 when it got here

Its great to hear that it wasn't as bad as expected, Good ta hear from ya GJ.

Yeah I always felt that way about the storms too until we decided to ride Katrina out. Thankfully both those storms went around me. My heart goes out to everyone that was effected. I'm sure it was one he'll of a ride for the ones who stayed.
