Man i swear i cant get more than six hours sleep anymore. My little girl doesnt end up going to bed till late, then im up at 430. This shit has gotta change. Im sure my gains are suffering from it too.

So im curious, on average, how much sleep do yall get?

I had my mind made up against kids very early in life. Saying that, I work like a mule and in the heat all day, I'm in bed at 9pm every night and wake up at 5am. I get up once to piss and at that time I eat 1 cup of oatmeal and go back to bed.

Father of 4 kids. Sleep left me a long time ago. If I'm lucky. I'll get a solid 5 hours a night. Maybe.

Unfortunetly on tren I am at best averaging 5-6 hrs of light sleep, typically get 6-7...never had the gift of being able to fall asleep or stay asleep easily....I feel your pain brother..

Around 8 hours for me. I try to keep a consistent schedule even on weekends. More and more research has been coming out about just how important sleep is for mental and physical health.

I am an insomniac, have been most of my life...so I go through periods where I sleep very little, like 5-8 hr a week. I got a C-pap machine and man, I can really feel the difference. I basically would stop breathing and my body would freak out, so sleep became the enemy. Once I could sleep without suffocating, I learned to sleep longer I get 4-6 hrs most of the time now, sometimes even longer. and I feel pretty darn good.

Sounds like me, obligations, shift work, "and" I just like to be up doing stuff, I've always felt that sleeping too much, I'll end up missing out on shit, but don't get me wrong, when my body says sleep, I get some sleep, I've gone for 36-40 hrs no sleep, and normally only get broken sleep (incremental, if you will) so, sometimes I will just sleep & catch up, if there's any truth to that analogy..?

Ponder this too...!, something I read years ago, probably in a Muscle Rag (Mag) Flex, or the one put out & sponsored by Twinlab... Forgot the name..!

Anyhow, if it's any consolation, & if your main goal is to grow/ size.., it was best said in this article.

"If your getting 8 hours of sleep a bite, Your "Not" eTing enuff, and this makes sense, even though your body repairs, and supposedly grows at rest (sleeping) most of us "still" need substantial calories to grow, and so unless your getting up in the middle of the nite to eat, your most likely not tajingbin sufficient Kcals, or if you are, your probably overeating at times, bloated, and causing intestinal discomfort, or of the sorts.

I used to have a bedside protein shake on ice, so when Inger up to piss, down that and back to bed.

May even start doing that again..!

Yea thats probably a big part of it. I need to get a meal sorted out for around 2am.

Also that cpap machine, i was thinking about looking into that too. I heard theres like this retainer thing they have now that does something similar but without that monstrous device. Cant think of the name, but i remember hearing rogan talk about it

Anyways thanks for all the input fellas.

I get up every hour to piss. More if I drink as much water as I should. I don't drink nearly enough water because when I do I literally have to piss every 10 minutes.

I read a lot of guys who are into lifting and this lifestyle in general have sleep apnea. My dad has it. I don't think I could ever sleep with one of those masks on.

That's ridiculous crap made up by the supplement companies. You are much better off sleeping through the night then getting up to eat. That's just gonna screw up your sleep even more and interrupt GH pulses that happen when you sleep. When insulin goes up GH goes down.

I've got terrible sleep apnea/snoring. I can sleep 10 hours and feel tired a couple hours after I get up.
I could literally take 3 naps easily every day. I really need to stop procrastinating and get a sleep study and probably a cpap.
I never had any issues until i used AAS and put on a good amount of weight about 12 years ago

It took so getting used to. but it was worth it. I have had sleep problems my whole life, and I was a skinny guy when started...I still think I may have had some sleep apnea even then.
