How good are cortisone shots?

Hi guys,

In the near future got an appt with a sports orthopedist to take a look at my knees. My knees been hurting a good deal lately so wondering if a cortisone shot is worth getting for the time being?

Eventually I plan to get my knees scoped as there's some loose cartilage and debris left over from old injuries from playing sports not to mention that my right knee has become unstable due to possible old tears and such so wanting to get those fixed. I would love to be able to squat and dead as pain free as possible.

Thoughts?

It covers up the pain and any corticosteroids obliterates igf1. My orthopedic surgeon is doing hyaluronic acid injections into the knees. Apparently it helps to delay surgery.

Thanke for the feedback, and I might ask about the hyaluronic acid injections as well. Surgery will eventually have to be done but will see what the orthopedist says first.
 
Cortisone shots are an individual case , you can't go by others . You need to see an Orthopeadic physician , specializing in treating sports injury . I had two in each shoulder and two in both elbows medial and distal heads my life . Last one 1998, all kept successful with exercise

This is why I am going to a sports orthopedist to get opinions in my case. My brother had cortisone shots 3 years ago and he has great improvement. Eventually surgery to clesn up the old injuries should be a help.
 
I did cortisone then deca they wanted to operate but that's almost 20 years ago and now 51 no issues
 
Dude get TB 500 NO joke it change my life after my motorcycle accident my shoulder and broken ribs left me crippled, im back at the gym!

No joke my mom and her bone cancer made her stop walking after a few pins of TB 500 she can walk :)

I should look into that TB500 and the BPC. Surgery may still be needed to repair some torn/worn cartilage down the road though, however.

How's your mom doing now? My own mom beat cancer 4 times and cheated death once...and still gets around at 70 years old!

I may need to look into this TB 500 stuff. My insertion point of my left forearm where it attaches to the outside of the elbow just started killing me. I don't feel like googling the correct name lol

yeah look into it best 20 I ever spent, last night my where killing me so bad i couldn't even sleep so i pin 1 iu in each calf after 5 mins I was fast asleep :)

I have had the same issue you describe, I got a lidocaine injection in my elbow joint and then used BPC 157 and Tb500 and I've never had another issue and I was suffering with it for well over a year

Great to hear :)

Yup real soon I'll get those shots and hopefully also getting scoped to clean out the junk to make my knees sing happy again so I can get back to jogging, squats and deads!

Not to mention my shoulders so I can sling those big db's!

it has Hyalronic Acid in it and its not expensive. I've used it to treat shoulder problems in the past, and while it burns me like an SOB it works. I used 3 injections of one ml a day cause that's all I could handle.
At this site you can find even more for your joints they use on big dollar race dogs and horses.
Its been helpful to me.
