Feel better overall when big/muscular?

I don’t mean you feel pretty or your self esteem gets better.

Does anyone genuinely just feel more comfortable when they have slabs of muscle packed on? I know I do. I just feel better in clothes and the muscle is like a big hoodie.

I am 43. I feel 100% better when I am under 10% body Fat. I stay with muscle earned.

I guess I would only want more muscle if I can stay lean only!! When I have anything at waist I am not comfortable.

I guess I like my clothes to fit good. I stay close to same size these days plus or minus 10lbs that is usually body fat.

If i can gain 10lbs of pure lean muscle I would be happy!!! My diet and not eating enough and enough right foods is the problem. Kids make it so tough. Then a wife who does keto and starves herself... if she would do more food being meat... ah huh!! But... LMAO!!! Family life!!

Guess that’s a no lol.
I just feel weird without that extra twenty lbs on my frame. And My gut always has to be empty for my pants to feel right; just how it is.

I would take the muscle, my biggest was around 222 at 7% 5'8" around 10 years maybe 8 years ago... I have some stretch marks because my bulk weight was 245 at 12%-15% approx... i had 2nd hernia repair and that dam surgeon screwed up bottom of belly button. It's was umbilical heria and they pulled everything in too much left me indention there. Anyway I lost some muscle I never could get back from that break off. Now I can cut at around 188-195 at below 7%.
Next I got hemoglobin issues polycythemia and lost what I gained back.
I had a really bad heat stroke a few years back that changed my metabolic rate as well. Don't ever get heat stroke, my mineral balance was so messed up 2 weeks after it was unreal!!
Now if I start to gain much more than 208 my bp goes up!!! So I am approaching slower gains to stay lean and keep BP good!!
So there are my excuses, lol!! But yes would take slabs of muscle!!!
But I now realize that I can look full of muscle with super low bodyfat!!! So gain a little then get cut and look bigger.... etc..

Not so much bulk, I feel best when I'm V tapered and my clothes just kinda "hang" off my frame from my shoulders.

I don't wanna be huge at the expense of being bloated and giving up my abs/V.
 
Since Im a short 5'6", at 200 lbs, the extra 5 lbs Im carrying around makes me feel "not better" or a bit worse.
I know its not much, but im sure its 5 pounds of fluid, so walking up stairs and things like that, I feel it. (Not for the better).

I do feel better in the gym though...
