Fasting is easier than dieting

Just a general observation after just a one week zero (0-20) carb diet: fasting is way easier.

In other words, you know your "hunger" is really just a cravingfor carbs when protein powder or steak don't sound appealing.

If you were hungry you'd eat both.

Anyone else find staying super low carb and clean harder than fasting?

I simply can't do either...! My Metabolism would have me waste away , & go flat very quickly.

For dieting, ( Carb cycling ) is where it's at,. & Plenty of eggs & fish n lean red meat

Now, intermittent fasting with GH & short bouts of hit cardio, I'd be alright. But everyone's different.

Yeah I don't normally do this low of carb but every year I do a week or 2 of ultra low carb before getting back into a low carb TKD deal.

What I'm really pointing out is how much harder it is to eat clean versus just not eating at all. Cravings are what we should worry about, not hunger.

I know there are three methods of the intermittent fasting and the only one that I can even remotely attack is the 12hr fast and I do it over night. I'm with you Motor....my metabolism would create havoc on me. If fact I think I would have a seizure or somethin'.

Fasting is KING!
Most would see great success switching to an 8/16 intermittent fast — 8hr eating window with 16hrs fasting. Even the diehard BB meathead world can discipline themselves to that with a little bit of willpower. And the body recomp that along brings is worth it.
We’re a obsessed nation, and holy shit, the BBing world has some of the most fucked up addict diets!

Keto style is the most doable for most, along with some intermittent fasting. Carnivore (all meat and NO carbs) for a week or two
ar a time brings even more radical results for recomp, while being able to maintain heavy training once the body is fat adapted (producing ketones and burning fat for fuel). It’s even possible on ZERO carbs to do an effective carb load. WTF?! Yes... once you burn through all your glucose and then glycogen reserves, consuming a shit load of protein (like 4-5lbs of red meat) will trigger gluconeogenesis — conversion of excess carbs into glucose! And doing a carb load that way will peak and then maintain a steady blood sugar level for 10-12hrs.
Also, once you’re legitimately fat adapted (efficiently burning fat for energy), carb cravings... food cravings in general, vanish.
