So i torn my ligaments in my knee in a car crash and the stupid doctor didn't bother to do a MRI, and broke my ankle a few months before the crash on the same leg. After 6 months of the doctor telling me it's just a strain and it takes a while to heal and at the same time giving me more and more pain killers that triggered my dependency after. My ligaments healed terribly and I was left walking in a weird manner. I was not able to run or jump without pain for the last 2 years.
I don't have a beginning picture but I'm 6'2. I started my journey back from 225lbs out of shape. My first pic was about 210, 2nd about 200, 3rd about 190. I box and train muay thai, but my main goal is to get back to playing basketball again. Only been on test. And added var the last month. Here is what my progress look like. I'm slowly doing PT for my legs, they are my weakest point and I am hoping I can rehab them to be able to play by fall of this year. I still have a long way to go, but pushing through the pain to get back into shape was not easy. Now i'm mostly pain free on most days. But still need to finish some rehabbing. Here is my progress from about 6 months.

This is my latest pic of me cutting down to 80kg for my next fight before I start training more on basketball. I started boxing and doing muay thai because of conditioning, it's a similar fast and slow tempo type of conditioning not like long distance for full speed the whole time. It was easier on the knee and ankle because I was not able to sprint or jump. also it was a struggle with my knee that I did not injured, patellar tendinitis from leaning too much on my healthy knee made both of them impossible to do much running and especially jumping. I will stay around 83-84kg and water cut to 80 the day before the fight and from there I will journey back to about 200lbs for basketball.IMG_0972.jpg

Looking fantastic bro - hey just alter your diet you could look even more sharp .
I hear ya - I've torn every ligament in every limb over 40 years of fighting . As child studies martial arts , but later I explored other methods in China , Indonesia, Philippines Thailand and Japan . Plus I served overseas in army toured many times . Weightlifting and what we do honestly don't mix well. Injury part of life . Become master of training around and through injuries . Age 35 shattered my spine in Aikibudo had it reconstructed and I still do my rehab as part of my weight routine , plus I have degrees in rehab and training so I modify all my routines. You are your greatest teacher never forget that ! Rest and layoffs part of what we do but active layoffs . Believe it or not I turn 52 in July and knock on wood no injuries or pain for while . I'm sensitive to my body - much of my stick work and sword work keep my shoulders loose along with chemical assistance . See I trained natty until age 35. I was stronger and faster then all my bros . I find AAS hgh but more importantly the bodybuilding lifestyle to be the fountain of youth . I don't consider it cheating . Plus training has been my wife n kids . I think having only me I don't have all those stressors. Hey if you and others have family I bow and tip my hat cuz I could not do what you guys do . Never let any one tell you you can't or your too old . Carry on !

Looking good bro keep up the hard work. You have a good big frame brother with a small waist. If I were to offer some encouragement I'd like to see you pack on some clean muscle through your shoulders and arms and keep that waist small and you would look ridiculous!!!!

We all struggle with injuries from time to time. Without adversity life would be boring right?
