When I used to sell dnp I was asked this question daily as well. Got to the point I just told everyone it was crystal just to avoid this explanation every time lol

Yeah I get sick of explaining it when the slightest chemistry knowledge would tell you if 1 compound had differences in Strentgh half life appearance or any of that then it has too have a molecular change and is now two different compounds . There is only one 24 dinitrophenol just one . differences in strength have too do with purity , moisture content and age of the product only
