Can anyone give me info on "house arrest" ankle bracelets that detect alcohol?

I fucked up 2 weeks ago coming home from a family members wedding and got nailed for a dui.....my lawyer is going to try and get the jail time suspended for house arrest with an ankle monitor. The ankle monitor can detect alcohol......so here is what I am curious about....

Will the ankle monitor detect the benzyl alcohol that is in gear? Most all gear should have some ba in it to kill any organisms and sterilise it so im wondering if I should drop the gear if I get on the ankle monitor....thanks for any input you guys might have!

I "very" seriously doubt it..! I mean, think about it..! There is only 1-2% alcohol (ba that is..) in gear, so a 10ml vial is only going to have say , less than an i.u. measure of a slin pin "maybe" first tic, but that's pushing it. (too lazy to do the math, ) and your at best firing off 3 ml at a time , or a bit more..!

Highly unlikely..., But then again, I didn't invent the apparatus..! Best of luck, let us know how it goes, keep is informed.

Ankle monitor for a dwi??? Really??

yeah unfortunately ohio passed a law last April that goes back over 10 years as far as dui's go.....i had 2 dui's 9 years ago and then got sober for 5 years....so because of that law this counts as my third dui which comes with mandatory jail time....house arrest is the only other option which requires ther ankle monitor

That's crazy man and I thought Texas laws were bullshit. They made me do 6 months for my 2nd w no probation option.
