This is pretty funny shit when I step back and don't take myself too seriously.....
Like most of us, I'm sure, I give myself a good once over in the bathroom mirror just about every day. And I usually step on the scale. Not usually, always. I'm 5-10; 200 lbs first thing in the morning after using the bathroom and before eating or drinking anything. I'm probably 11%bf. So, not the biggest or leanest, but I look pretty good and generally stand out in a crowd considering the sorry state of fitness of most folks.
All that said, during my once over in the mirror, I find myself saying, "Your arms are shrinking" or, "You REALLY need to lose some fat" or whatever. Usually it isn't a coherent thought, but I'm so used to seeing myself that I'm not impressed.
Recently, I was at a big wedding and associated pool party, BBQ, etc. Looking through the pictures, I see myself and think, "Holy shit! I look huge in that picture!" And I get a few comments while hanging around shirtless in and out of the pool that weekend.
My wife and I laugh about this dumb shit all the time, the mind games our own mind plays on us - she does the same shit, just slightly different BS... Why in the world does our own head attack us like that? Pure insanity... LOL! Like I said, as long as I don't take myself too seriously, it's pretty funny.....
