Just got bloodwork results to be sure all is good before beginning my next cycle. The good news is liver enzymes were perfect. Thanks to Roc's cleanse regimen along with Tudca. The concern is the kidney profile numbers. I was flagged for low eGfr of 54 with the target being >59. Also flagged for high creatinine of 1.40 with the ideal range being .76-1.27. I am blessed in that my doctor is also a bodybuilder who is older like myself (early 60s) and also on TRT. He says that those values are not accurate for bodybuilders who are building mass, eating a high protein diet, taking creatine, and taking TRT/steroids. He also says the eGfr number will slowly decline as we age. The research articles concur with these points of view. My Doc however says I am working too hard in the gym and should slow down. I am a grinder and once I decide I am doing something, I attack with all guns blazing. I do not know the meaning of slowing down. The research shows that these numbers are no more valid for bodybuilders than the BMI index created by insurance companies which says we are all overweight. The questions for the Pros: should I cut back on my protein and creatine intake? Any suggestions other than the obvious ones like limit salt and drink more water!!! Also, I do take a BP pill which keeps my blood pressure at 120/80. Blood sugar and lipids are all good. I am 6 feet 4 inches and weigh 235 with a body fat of 13.5%. I would appreciate any suggestions as far as supplements, diet, injectables, etc which might be of benefit. Thanks in advance
PS-- The lady at LabCorp drawing my blood said she felt like she was taking blood from a telephone pole, then when I rolled up my sleeve, she said but it is a very vascular telephone pole. Thanks to DRED for his assistance in this department. LOL
