Just heard about this event. Starts Jan.20 and ends Dec.2018. I like the fighters and matchups. Rampage vs. Sonnen, Fedor vs. Mir...
Any fans/thoughts?

I'm a huge fan but these guys are way past their prime. With that said, I will watch these fights. I think Nelson is fighting also

Haha... yeah, they're a little older that's for sure. Ryan Bader is in there as well. I'm a a huge "old school" mma fan. Mir, Mark Coleman, Vitoria Belfort, Mark Kerr, Couture, Liddell, etc.. I'll just go on record, pulling for Mir to win this one.

Forgot Bader was in, he could win it. In high school I had the pleasure of wrestling both Coleman and Randleman. Oh the ass beating I took!!

Yeah, Bader could win it. You wrestled Coleman and Randleman? You from Columbus or go to Ohio State? That's my hometown but been in Miami and Tampa longer and now my home.
And a lot of other guys got their asses kicked from those guys. Haha... don't swear it.

I would like to see the fight Fedor v. Randleman again, I remember their fight in PRIDE. How Fedor do not have a broken neck?

Yeah, Pride was great back in the day. I'll have to look that fight up cause I don't remember it right off hand. Randleman was a badass too.

Thx, Den Bell! I remember that fight now and how Fedor got up is beyond me. And I forgot how jacked Randleman was. Probably still is too.

I think Mir has the best chance here. Bader is probably the youngest, but hasn't he spent most of his career in the LHW division? Sure, he won't have to worry about a weight cut, but he's not used to fighting carrying that much weight on him either.

^^^ yeah, I think you're right about Bader. And his age is really the reason he might be favored. If Mir gets by Fedor, I think he's favorite after that match. It's just going to last so long. Have to do more research and find out why....

Bader is a huge person though! And he's hungry. He's on a tear lately too. I have to lean towards him for the win but all are intriguing fight!

Yes, he's younger and hungry. He fights light heavyweight and has beat some good ones. Lost to Glover Texiera, Tito Ortiz and Jon Jones. The last two by way of submission.
He's my #2.
But yeah, I like the whole card as well.

He won't be undersized that much. And even if he is, take that weight pound per pound and he's probably better off than most. He looks jacked as hell when I researched him yesterday.
You train, BigO, right?

I don't fight anymore, I leave that to the guys who are good at it lol I was average at best. Solid wrestling, but my boxing footwork just isn't there. I tried and tried, I kept fights standing just to try and convince myself I could do it...I was wrong lol I barely had a .500 record. I still train rounds with guys who are fighting or go in and grapple with them. So the short answer to your question is yes I train. But don't let that fool you into thinking I'm any good lol I'm not.
