The point is a pit bull was at the home it happened at so yours at your house doesn't do much.... just saying!!!!
He basically said his pit was too gentle himself....
The bottom line is a pit bull isn't a good guard dog.
They are known for their strong jaws and if you allow them to display aggression they will hurt your own kids and sometimes u.
A dog that is a true terrier like a Jack Russell has the proper temperment to get the job done and not opposed potential harm for family members.
Your dog how he does will things that bit back lol! Like a coon

All I'm saying is that you're generalizing way too much. There's so many different lines and temperaments of pits. Pits were bred to ignore pain and continue to fight.
I do agree some of them aren't good "watch dogs" at all when the owner isn't home but if the owner is put in danger they completely change.
