Maybe it's a question that has been posted on another part in the forum but I couldn't find it, how much liquid can run through a syringe pvdf filter without changing it?

I don't have a "solid" answer for that, but it also depends on f ur talking an oil.. for one, and you do have to keep swapping, or taking it off to draw whatever your filtering, then put back on, unless you have a large syringe.

Also, if solvents other than just ba & bb are used it's gonna Get sticky, jammed to an extent, or you'll "pop" the membrane and you'll know it when you do.

I wanna say, you could do a 20 my, maybe two, or 30ml altogether, then will need a new one.

More volume, & you'd need a bottle top, (media bottle)
filter, and those set-ups need a low cfm vacuum. I think some may work on gravity.

Thanks for the answer MCMM! I'm using MCT for carrier and will brew EQ, TestE, TrenA... the easy ones, 50 ml each using the caulking gun mod with syringe filters.

For larger volume (>100 ml) thinking to use the bottle top filter with PES membrane and media bottle, can't remember where I read that the recommended filter should be PVDF. Any thoughts about that?
