Since my primary goal for now is weight loss, I'll get a thread going on that ... Partly because right now I'm stoked!
So on Sunday I rushed to the hospital for chest pain - third time in 12 months, they're pretty sure it's a gall bladder/gall stone attack, since I do have gall stones. This time, however, it was accompanied by intense, uh, blockage. For six full days I could not "take a dump". Between my chest pain and my abdomen pain, I haven't been to the gym in a week, and barely even went for an evening walk on a couple of those days.
But as of this morning (Thursday, 8/4) I feel great again. The "stoked" part is my weight is down to its lowest for 2016, at 236.6 - so I've lost 13.4 pounds since July 3. And I set a 2016 Best for my run time around a section of my neighborhood I call the "Small Loop" - 2.1 miles at 19:05. So I guess, if nothing else, the hospitalization and forced rest days enabled me to mentally and physically gear up to get back to it with a bang!
