I was thinking about going fot the allusive PR decided to do a 3rm ONE more time before @ 645X3 Get to gym. No belt...Gym had one but after wearing inzer it was literally like wrapping a dress beklt around my stomach.. 645 coming up and Im alreading thinking about 2 more before I even lock out then knee level( where I missed 700 few eeks back) I heard popping then dropped bar...Hard getting around but got some blood into it this am just walking and think I can easily bench tonight just hoping light squats tues will be okay...Ill prob do High reps few weeks the bulk back into a heavy triple maybe 645x3 off blocks to be safe then floor deload and put this long mental game behind me...Literally the week I did 640x3 I swear I could of added 60 for a singel,,,Once the bar comes up its 99% a sure lift...Going to be doing lits of deficts and conventional deads heavy... I will not make these stupid mistakes anymore going to be much more warmuops and no more 100-150lbs jumops

That sucks brother! Sorry to hear about your misfortune. Sometimes on the juice its hard sometimes not to throw too much weight on.
High motivation + great gear and you just have to better be careful, especially now that I'm getting on in years...
Those strength gains get so crazy it makes me get a little crazy from time to time!

Ya that sucks my back has been fucked for months my right erector amd possibly a pinch merve has drive me crazy. Back issues fucken suck makes regular life suck hope you recover quick

Ouch brother, that sucks bigtime and hope you can recover quick but back injuries like that can take a long time to heal. I strained my left bicep 2 weeks ago and even that's a bitch to work around but I've managed to. To me it's hard to work around back injuries as the back is a major piece of muscular infrastructure.

I've had my share of back issues especially after a serious fall my back was jacked bad not to mention serious head and internal injury that took years to recover from.

Actually was on nothing but ephedrine and caffeine... Have been off gear over 16 weeks or longer...I WAS trying to hit 700 dead b4 a cycle and then trying to use gear to get mid 700's...Maybe one day even 8...I always set small goals like 50lbs or so but I NEVER say I wont ever be able to lift X amount...Never

if its bad enough ill take pain killers from doc and try to use them sparringly prob with those is first dose usually ko's you then next it barely works... lol...I have heard much about tianeptine sodium(thesupplementsyndicate)or noortopics/kratom syndicate carries it ....some say its like a legal opiod but less addictive and some say better than kratom

The injury happened about knee level and i did rack pulls same spot or so today barley got 315... Did 135 225 315 off floor first and warmed up good but real pain./..Still last week I couldnt do 135 day after..then on pulls the pain was worse even with belt but stopped at 315... did some light assistance then jumped back in to hit 455 for 1...My norm would be about 700 or over on this so not to pissed cause I healed and improved in a week and have been lifting heavy but nothing dangerous..For example I squatted 545 but did from bottum pin in rack not full squat...also lot of high volume reps ect on "leg day" and qudas hams were sore as hell and pumped...Today I trained at buddies and didnt get much hypertrophy work in or anything for that matter but allowed healing process to stay active while increasing my "injured PR's" lol... Watch me bros ill be back pulling that 645 for 3 full easy reps in 30 days...And ill destroy it... Altough I really wanted to hit 700 while off gear Its been AWHILE like 4 months or so??? Time to get growing and

My doctor is a fagg wint ever give me anything strong think i should request a new one kaiser seems to be strict

I agree if its affecting you that much some light pain killers are on order...When I strained back yrs ago (before I became addicted which ghad nthing to do with docs prescriptions but a gf who did he ed and me doing em every weekend finally going to her ed routine) they asked if numbness...NO...So he said muscle tear most likely dont train for a week and gave me pain pills I chilled for a week on pills very 4-5 yrs as directed started back one plate week 1 2 plates week 2 and withing 2 months I was setting PR's again...Try rehabbing best yo can hypers abs sets of 20 deads or squats go light for sets of 20 and add slowly for about couple weeks after a full weeks off...If by 4 months theres no progress in pain or srtength you need to go straight to speacialist

I tell you guys - shattered my spine over 20 years ago , had surgery and since then my erectors and traverse abdominus are my belt and support . Anyone engaged in weightlifting - should all be concentrating on making sure your spinal erectors are strong as hell - regular hypers, reverse hypers, stiff deads and lower back machines should be part of everybody's regular routine . You are fools if you ignore it . As you get older even more so. In fact those who say your back Hurts or is weak should be doing more so. When I had my spine reconstructed in 1995, it was a part of every patient at NE Baptist hospital after spine surgery to go lift weights with your spine yes your back . I still to this day after my back do the same routine . At 51 I've never since even owned a weightlifting belt yet lift heavy , for years engaged in various martial arts being thrown violently on my back on bare floor for hours as part of practice , did / do part time roofing as extra money etc but have never since had any pain or issue in my back years after major major surgery . Start now while younger . I do heavy deads ,squats , heavy heavy calf machine raises , bent rows etc no belt no pain . Just few sets of direct lower back work twice week . You guys young should be like supermen in gym .
Three sets hypers 90 degree bench
2-3 stiff deads
2-3 cybex or nautilus lower back
Then 1-2 wood cutters on cable .
Will form a shield around your torso .

Respect for making that comeback from such a nasty life-changing injury. Even healthy people who haven't had a major back injury will develop some back issues as they get older so keeping the back healthy is the best thing anyone can do. At nearly 53 I've had some nasty back injuries from falls and even from falling through rotten stairways at a building I was looking at to buy for an investment. Was lucky each time but there's gonna be a time Lady Luck will deny me another chance.

used to do hypers and abs 4 week. and ALWAYS after squat and dead days... I been doing now for rehab One week my deead day after inury was struggling to load 45s on for bench... Week after 12 3 plates for dead..455 rack pulls..pumping blood into lowe back everyday and doing alot of ab work no belt for sets of ten and will be doing heavy sets of 5 beltless once im 100%...It was minor thank GOD and Im already 25% better in a week

They do work - you gotta prioritize- but once you get good it's like nothing can stop you . I modified what the hospital Rehab team had every one do before and after spine surgery - NE baptist and the orthopedic team are considered the best on this earth - people from all around globe , most pro athletes I believe when Larry bird was playing he went to same office and in 70s New York ranger /Boston bruin jean ratelle NHL went there before he began successful career. Since then they have pioneered many processes and programs . I have no rods no screws just shavings of my hip bone that was sort of spackeled around this thimble like titanium cage that was inserted in the crack of the vertebrae- served as temp cast . Even now I have no limits . I do presses with 6 plates, leg press with 21 plates , I can't find a gym with vertical calf machine with enough weight to even have regular workout . Plus decades of Aikibudo, Bujutsu all kinds of combat where we take turns throwing each other violently with intent to break joints and spine- bearing weight while moving , plus in my dojo we did not use padded or spring floors - either concrete or the ground . Actual combat oriented is not for sport or art and geared to war or battlefield- my back since 95 had never bothered me . It's crazy even for extra cash I have done construction on weekends or vacation like roofing carrying 100-200 pound bundles or 200 pound jack hammer a 100 foot chimney stack - my point is keeping my erectors strong has enabled me to do what many think impossible.
Even a power lifter Louie Simmons ? Ever hear ? Invented this mAchine called reverse hyper where you strap weight to ankles and brace upper body to work sacrum . My docs used to say - stop thinking abs and flexible like everywhere else think making your spine muscles strong like your biceps to hold spine together. Plus the exercises themselves have dynamic flexibility component to the move- hypers decompress spine , stiff deads help the hams get longer but with power. Strong Flexible not weak.
I usually do 6 sets for my spine 2-3 times
Hypers or reverse
Stiff deads
Or machine
Plus woodcutters .
The 90 degree hyper bench NOT the 45 degree they carry now .
