With so much renewed interest in the Golden Age of Bodybuilding with the introduction of the Classic Physique division more and more commonplace to read or hear people quoting off some motivational blurb from one of the Golden Era Greats but do they truly understand the thought behind the term Proportionate or Symmetrical? The standard for the untrained eye had long been the classic V Shape. And while that shape is still a staple of what those previously mentioned terms mean, there is so much more to it. There is even a formula that was once used to best determine what your ideal weight and size is based on your frame. In it's most simple term, each muscle group should compliment the other without overpowering the other. For example, the bicep and calf should be relative in size as well as the chest and leg circumference. For some numbers are merely numbers but in this case, they truly represent the proportion from one group to another.
Are you guys familiar with this concept or do you have any other examples of great symmetry?

You are right on money bro - I remember reading that shit in the. 1980s
