I have gone few times with bro to Strongman gym thinking it would aid my PL workouts... I was sore for over a week in every muscle after doing event training ending with stones...Getting em up seems easy but depending on box height it can be a mfer and tear the hell outta arms even with tacky... I will have to say though they are almost as fun as deadliufts if not more so...Liked the Yoke and everything pretty much but log press as I sucked on those mainly just awkward as fk.... id like to train it more but nearest gym with all the euip is nearly 2 hrs

The stones are a great tool. Wrapping your forarms with duct tape helps them not get ripped up like that. Alot of good powerlifting training tools in strongman equipment. They have helped my powerlifting alot.

I believe you can make your own stones too as you can fairly easily find the molds to make them out of regular concrete.

Rouge sells molds and the fiberglass to make your stones. They also have videos on YouTube for instruction. I had a guy in my area fabricate me a yolk for fairly cheep. I do dabble in strong man, but my focus is powerlifting. I do see a reward in having both yolk, and stones.
As far as arm protection goes. STrong makes them. Shaw, and many others use them for stones because of the area they cover.

They are so much fun I love the yoke as well and think I may start doing more strongman to help with my powerlifts and size increase...
